Updated Italian-American “red sauce” cuisine meets the freshest local ingredients in this family-friendly neighborhood gem. Dinner, lunch, and weekend brunch are served on the year-round garden patio or in the lively dining room with its mix of cozy booths and banquettes. A love letter to the owner’s Brooklyn-born and raised Nonna, Campanella’s menu is classic East Coast Italian with some modern touches.                                                               We tried Campanella when it first opened. We loved the excellent service and ambiance, but weren't pleased with the food, so we waited thinking maybe the problem was related to start-up issues. We returned recently to give it a second chance. Unfortunately, the food hasn't improved. The broccoli rabe was so salty it was almost inedible. The chicken in the chicken marsala was stringy and dry (although the sauce and mushrooms were delicious.). The rock cod was prepared with ragu and potatoes and was okay, but not exceptional.

                                                              Sat in the beautiful garden patio. Service was fast and courtesy. We ordered a variety of meals, pizza and desserts. Everything was excellent. We will be back.

                                                              Had a wonderful meal last night! Walked in and grabbed a couple of seats at the bar- great service, nice cocktails and wine list. Food was well timed, potions generous and everything was delicious. Tasted fresh and flavorful.

                                                              Great experience! Great food, great service, and nice chat with the owner. The place was full so it was a bit noisy, but that did not detract from the wonderful food.

                                                              We had a delicious dinner and a very attentive server. The eggplant parm was so good and so was the Chicken Marsala. really good salad we shared, the house salad.

                                                              I was hesitant to go back to Campanella after our first visit that I wasn't thrilled with but my wife had been there for lunch a couple of times after that and assured me that it gotten much better. She was correct. The food - we had the meatball appetizer, really good, she had the Little Gem salad which she liked, I had the house salad which was ok, overdressed and not enough lettuce for my taste. Entrees - wife had the Carbonara with GF pasta, way too salty for her taste so they replaced it with the broccoli rabe, sausage and GF pasta dish which she really liked. I had the gnocchi which were probably the best I've ever had, light as clouds, exceptional. Wife said the Cosmo was the best she's ever had, I had the chianti which was fine, good food wine. Service was exceptional. Glad we went back and we will return, highly recommended

                                                              Everything was pretty good but didn’t really standout. Small plates were better than the pizza which was pretty average. Acre has better pizza by far. Atmosphere was very nice. We sat on back patio. Hoping they can keep improving but I’d prefer the food in the other Italian restaurants in town, like Portico.

                                                              Campanella was wonderful. We were greeted by the owner, and I'm so sorry I've forgotten your name. He was gracious and welcoming. Our server was also very informative and kind. We had our pup with us (outside patio) and brough his own bowl of water. The food was excellent, recommendations perfect. All in all a perfect visit. I think we were so pleased with our experience, I forgot to use my inKind app!!
