From the people that brought you Trattoria Carina, Pub & Kitchen and The Diving Horse comes their newest restaurant, Carina Sorella.

Carina Sorella is a casual neighborhood Italian restaurant with a focus on delicious and approachable food in a bright, vibrant atmosphere. Our menu is built around classic dishes - Spaghetti and Meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmesan - but we surround that core of dishes with seasonal, chef driven specialties.

The Bryn Mawr location will include the addition of a pizza oven and a full bar, building on the smaller footprint of the existing location in Philadelphia, Trattoria Carina.

    Our first visit to Carina Sorella was Valentines Day. I said that I would return after the winter and when it is not a holiday. We dined last evening although it still feels like winter. They originally had has seated near the entrance-which is quite drafty every time the door opens. I asked for a different table and after a few extra minutes (the new table needed to be cleaned), we were seated behind the bar. Giorgio was our server and he confessed it was his first evening. Kudos! He was amazing, attentive and very engaging. While there were three of us dining, we ordered the 2 Chicken Parmigiana's and 2Caesar Salads. My husband and I shared and our dining partner had his dinner with lots to take home. The salads were very tasty and dressed perfectly. The chicken is so big. Not heavily breaded and fried to perfection. Leftovers all around. While waiting for our entrees, David (the manager) brought out a pasta dish of cappelletti filled with aged asiago cheese and drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette. The sweetness of the vinaigrette balanced out the saltiness of the cheese. Yum! Needless to say, there was no room for dessert. Looking forward to our next dinner!

    This was our 2nd time at Carina Sorella and it was wonderful again. Place is beautiful, food and drinks are delicious and service was attentive. Highly recommend and we'll be back soon!

    Energetic is a nice word for “can’t hear your dining companions because it’s so loud.” Food and service were very good but not a good choice for a group of more than 2.

    Overall a good experience. Very nice setting. Service was good. Food overall good but nothing exceptional for the price point that it was. The best thing on the menu was the pasta bolognese sauce but ask for it without the cream in it since was salty. My dad asked for it without the cream in it and tasted great. The chicken parm was also very good. Spicy crab pasta good but had little crab in it for the price. We had the meatballs and arachini for appetizers were both good and tasty. Also loved the focaccia bread but was $7, my opinion an Italian restaurant should provide complimentary bread.

    Sadly, it is getting increasingly overpriced. $62 for an unremarkable 5oz filet of beef (accompanied by greens) is not making people want to come back for more. It is a pity; when the restaurant first opened, the food was fantastic. Well worth it. It was impossible to get a table. Now, it is trivial to get a table, because they are not cultivating a loyal customer base.

    Our server was Kate and she did a wonderful job. She asked about food allergies, which we have, she kept our drink glasses full, and was just terrific all night. The three of us each had a difffrent past a dish and everyone loved them. It was so much food, that each of us brought home a leftover plate. Loved this place and will beback

    It was ok. Nothing good Not bad. Meatballs were fine. Chicken parm was huge but nothing special. Espresso martini was strong but wasn’t the great. Dessert was the best. Affogato brownie was amazing and the honey panna cotta w/ strawberry, rhubarb and basil crumble was delish!!!!!
