Caruso’s is a rebirth of a restaurant that was created by Rakan Shteiwi in the 1979. Many of the original Spinning Fork recipes came from the original Caruso’s which was located in downtown Cincinnati. We look to merge classic and modern flavors inspired by traditional Italian and American Italian cuisines.

We absolutely love Caruso’s - it’s a gem and everything we’ve ever had or tried has been phenomenal. It’s an absolute must try, especially if you’re in the mood for homemade Italian. The Chicken Parmesan is fantastic, all of the pasta dishes are incredible (especially the Rigatoni Rustica and Linguine Scampi) and my wife tried the salmon last night and it was cooked perfectly and came with an amazing risotto. We’re working our way through the whole menu, but I honestly can’t stop ordering the Chicken Parmesan. Seriously, you need to put Caruso’s at the top of your list - it’s a contender for the best overall restaurant around!

Drastically different experience between first opening until now. First, I note there is a new chef because the food doesn’t taste the same. The porterhouse used to be a signature dish cooked to perfection and we met the chef he was amazing. I know he’s not cooking that steak anymore. During this visit, we experienced a high gnat count which I’ve noticed increasing over time. It’s winter, gnats should be dying down. Our waitress treated everyone around us well but didn’t provide us the same treatment. She never brought the bread we ordered, we had to ask again. She put bacon on our salad even though we asked for no bacon bc we don’t eat it. A portion of our food was ordered blackened but was burnt and in the end, she tossed boxes on our table for us to pack our own food when boxing is a signature service at this restaurant. I could do it myself but she boxed everyone else’s food around us. Also, for what we ordered and received the price was way too high. We are regulars unbeknownst to this waitress but we will likely not return. Sad bc they are in the neighborhood and we would like to support but the service has gone down hill and so has the service. The wait staff changes too frequently. The regular staff is efficient but each time we get someone newer the service isn’t consistent and I don’t know how they lost that chef but just know, the regulars notice and he was a gem in our city. Do better and speak with your staff on consistency. I won’t say what I thought was happening but well….we are no longer regulars.

We have driven by here for years, always saying we should go. Well, we finally did and it was well worth it. The pig and fig pizza was amazing!

we always enjoy Caruso’s. It’s a good experience and a consistent one. Our server did a great job and the food was as good as we always experience. We find ourselves indulging on the bread to excess and leaving us with a challenge to finish our really good entrées, great place for an evening out.
