    Christmas present for mother-in-law who had never experienced a tasting menu before. She was blown away by the Sunday lunch experience, no doubt aided by the familiar sounding choices ("prawn cocktail", ham, egg and peas, roast beef) and the accompanying wine flight. Lovely food and lovely service. Special call out for the apple sidecar cocktail !!! Now planning to return for the standard menu. Surprisingly good value for money and you certainly won't leave hungry

    The food was outstanding and service fantastic! This is my 2nd time having the 5 course Sunday lunch menu and it did not disappoint. All the courses were brilliant with the Moroccan lamb as the highlight. The drinks pairing just added another dimension to the meal. Absolutely knock out meal! Thank you.

    I cannot remember how many times we have been here but every time it has been outstanding. The tasting menu which changes every month is just fantastic. Every dish was explained to us and the different taste sensations on each course were exceptional. All the staff were lovely and attentive and the restaurant had a nice ambience. Chef Jono is one talented chef. He so deserves a michelin star. If you haven't been I highly recommend trying it.

    Booked as a birthday treat for one of my sons. The food was lovely and despite some of the courses being small in size, they pack a real punch in taste and texture and are surprisingly filling. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff very attentive. We all had different favourite courses and the only dish I didn't like was the take on fish and chips as I don't like curry sauce (this was a shame as the fish in the dish looked beautifully cooked). Needless to say, it was polished off by my son who loved it. The signed menu was a nice touch to round off a most enjoyable evening

    Friendly and efficient service, but the signature tasting menu is far too heavy and rich that it was a struggle to finish. Some dishes fab, others didn't quite hit the mark.

    Incredible meal. Food was phenomenal and the drinks paired beautifully. Can’t wait to return!

    Fabulous meal as always at V& V. Food and service excellent. Restaurant cosy and warm on a very cold night. Catered for my gluten allergy.

    Fabulous food with excellent service. We both chose the 5 course vegetarian menu with drinks pairing. Every course and drink was explained carefully and the food was indescribably delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough

    Only minor grievance is we were originally only shown the 7 option tasting menu and had to ask for the cheaper 5 course. Having said that we thought the level of service and food was excellent and will definitely be booking again. We have had a couple of fine dining restaurants close recently so great to have this one.

    The food was delicious, big portions. It comes out quick so we asked for a break twice which the team were happy to accommodate. The main course is epic. Beautifully cooked. The beef just melts, and literally I could eat that cauliflower cheese all day long. They kindly packed my desert up.
