This was my first time at Chemistry. I went for the trap brunch for my birthday. I loved the trap brunch vibes and the food was decent. I like the interior design. I do feel as though they can improve customer service. I would go again though.

I would have given it a 3 star but I didn’t because you can’t force your waiters to be nice. She was very dry. When we got there she gave us no silverware. Some waiter randomly gave us some when he seen us eating with our hands. Then i asked for straws and didn’t get them until after I was half way done with our meal and I asked for these straws prior to even ordering my food. Last but not least gratuity was at 20% and she definitely only served 15% as a common courtesy because may she was just having a bad day. If I would have had a great experience I would have properly topped more than 20% actually. But just thought I make that clear. She had a very low haircut and it was colored hair. Not good waitress can’t even call her name. Live music was good and the food was descent. Wasn’t amazing but wasn’t bad. It was average. Not over the top but not basic either. Great entertainment by the way. Energy is definitely live

I would not recommend Chemistry due to their customer service. I was traveling for business, reserved a table for 10. Paid the deposit. 2 employees could not make it. I tried calling several times prior to the reservation date and was unable to reach a live person. Left several messages and no one called me back. I lost my $200 deposit. Could not cancel the reservation nor change the number of guests. Horrible customer service on their part. When I did finally reach an associate, he was rude and showed no empathy.

My experience at Chemistry in Hyde Park was unforgettable, thanks to the perfect mix of food, presentation, and service. The tomahawk steak was the highlight of the evening. It was served on a large wooden board with truffle mashed potatoes and charred vegetables, making for a dramatic and visually stunning presentation. The steak itself was cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor, making the meal feel truly special. The Chemistry Glazed Wings were another standout. They were perfectly crispy with a sweet and savory glaze that kept every bite flavorful and satisfying. The Truffle Fries complemented the meal beautifully—crispy, aromatic, and topped with just the right amount of Parmesan and truffle oil. What made the evening even better was the attentive service. Our server went above and beyond, frequently checking in, refilling drinks, and taking the time to explain the dishes in detail. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor elevated the whole experience. Overall, Chemistry delivered on all fronts with exceptional food, thoughtful presentation, and top-tier service. We paid a deposit for 6 people which was supposed to be removed from the balance of the bill but it wasn’t. There were extra items on the bill that we didn’t order luckily we took the time to look over the bill before paying. Some of our dishes were not hot but just warmed. We purchased the cowboy steak and it wasn’t cooked to our requested temp.

I loved my experience from the time I sat down until I left. The food, ambiance, music, and service were top notch. I would definitely patronize this establishment again.
