Excellent food and service! Ambience was nice too! Price is a little steep as imagined, but meat was tender and selection of wine was fair.

Great Christmas Eve dinner. One complaint is being not very busy you set us at a table next to a large party showing up when you probably just could have put us somewhere else. Still great time and excellent food

I have never written a negative restaurant review . I have worked in the service industry and understand how hard it can be. However our dinner last night in what is portrayed as a higher end though not fine dining restaurant left so much to be desired. The wedge salad had brown leaves, and anyone who cooks knows how long it takes for iceberg to go brown so the lettuce may have be eligible to have its drivers license, this was in addition to a bland dressing made with low end blue cheese and accented by a few oddly sweet lardons and some burnt croutons . The 20 oz delmonico steak was tough, obviously not prime meat, and had been seasoned to resemble a salt lick. When we were asked how everything was we mentioned this and they did offer to replace but at that point we were so disappointed in the meal we didn’t have faith it would be an improvement and the meat quality would have been the same. As for the “au gratin” potatoes they were so incredibly greasy and lacking in flavor that even someone who considers potatoes a food group had 2 bites and was done. The service was fine but we should have known better when the steak house across the street ( even though it’s a chain) was packed to the gills with a wait and Christopher’s was essentially deserted. Next time we will wait.

We showed up 5 minutes early, waited for our table for over 30 minutes. When we did get our table, we waited another 15 mins for for our water glasses (with lipstick marks on both glasses). Overall, it was a very long wait before we could order. They advertised a Thanksgiving menu with no base price. I asked for the base price and the waiter didn’t know. We were surprised to find out dinner for 2, no drinks ended up being $164. The dishes they served us with didn’t match at all. For a “fine dining” restaurant, it wasn’t very fine at all. We both ordered the turkey and ham. It came with some fantastic clam chowder (an absolute 10). However, the ham was so salty, we only had a bite. The turkey was extremely dry with no cranberry topping. The dressing was okay with Brussel sprouts (which I can’t stand). When we were done eating, they had an all you can eat desert table. It was picked through and didn’t look appealing at all. Overall, it’s very safe to say that we would never go back. Our entire experience lasted over 2 1/2 hours. I’ve had 6 corse dinners that flowed and was awesome. Our experience at Christopher’s was long drawn out and honestly, we went home hungry. High priced, low quality food and okay service if you don’t mind waiting a long time. Last but not lease, I paid with $200 cash and they had to open the safe to get change. Something I’ve ever experienced before. Atmosphere was very nice.

This was our second Thanksgiving dinner at this restaurant. When our kids go to in-laws, we eat here. My Wife's ham was boarding on "Jerky", bone dry and hard. My turkey was served cool and very dry (it's breast-meat, still very tough). Crab Cakes were good. The flavoring was all very delicious, and the serving sizes were great. I realize they're cooking for the masses but along with that comes an expectation that the task at hand can be adequately managed. Sadly, for $160+tip for two people, we'll check other locations next time.
