Inspired by the warmth and vibrancy of Jamaica’s culture and people, Chubby's Jamaican Kitchen is a take on traditional Jamaican cooking balanced with relevant culinary twists. Co-founded as a passion project by Gusto 54 founder Janet Zuccarini and Angela Lawrence, Gusto 54’s Chief Culture Officer, Chubby’s is a celebration of their long friendship, and their love and respect for the island’s food and all the amazing Jamaican cooks they know.

Located in a circa-1890 row house re-envisioned by Partisans Architects and interior designer Wendy Haworth, Chubby’s boasts two floors of seating, two bars, and two outdoor patios. It melds old and new, inside and out to create a transporting dining experience complete with delicious Caribbean cooking, eclectic design and soulful hospitality. Chubby's is also a Michelin Guide CA - rated restaurant.

Amazing Jamaican restaurant in the city of Toronto. Not your typical jerk pit where things are coming in for a quick lunch. this place does Jerk and Jamaican food with a flair and style. the Jerk is good but the other items on the menu are even better. This is a full sit-down restaurant with service and class. Love the vibe and atmosphere.

Seems Chubby’s has modified their menu since last time I was here in 2023. I definitely like today’s menu. Best fried okra I’ve ever had. Jerk chicken, especially the wings are delicious as well as the plantain chips n dip. Probably won’t order the ackee & salt fish appetizer again though. I love ackee but the bread they used was either stale or over baked as it was difficult to chew. Soursop drink was so good. Carrot cake was delicious but so small (price doesn’t justify). Raisin rum bread pudding 8/10. Would like to come back here for the fried okra!

The service from our waiter wasn't the best. She didn't seem to want to be there. Other than that, wonderful :) It had been years and years since I'd been to Chubby's. Had a nice time. Music playlist was 🔥.
