Chef Gary, has launched a new Italian Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach, what an amazing restaurant located 103 south pine St. beach side of the bridge in NSB! Visit us for an amazing night and dinner!
The Genesis of Ciao Bella began in a different time and a different land during the era of Josie’s Restaurant in a Naples, Italy neighborhood. Gary and his siblings were little more than children, but already struggling with dishes and pans. More than a family, they were united by a common bond: not just by image but by the same passion for the kitchen the customers and the dining experience.
They were not easy times. Josie, mother of Chef G. was very strict - but this was his luck, as discipline, order and cleanliness were rules that you could not escape. As time went on, Chef Gary always the entrepreneur, made the journey to America dedicated himself to catering and opening several successful restaurants along the southeast coast.

    Great food, but probably could use a little more organization with operations. Staff were very friendly and doing their best, but despite having plenty of staff and not being hugely busy, we weren’t greeted or seated (or even acknowledged) for a few minutes upon walking in. A simple “we will be with you in just a minute” would have been better than averted gazes. Having said that, once seated, our waiter (who was also the bartender) was excellent and when there was a hiccup with our meal it was handled professionally. I’ll be back, but probably not rushing back.

    I was quite disapppiinted in the food. I have only heard amazing things about this place and I was shocked at my experience. I never send food back, never. The chicken piccata was literally boiled chicken in a gravy sauce. No pan sear, no light butter, lemon caper sauce. On top of that I was told they were out of angel hair. I am from Atlanta and so I find great food in Florida hard to find so I was excited to finally try this place with an out of town guest-it was a let down. The app was tomato, mozzarella and the tomato’s used, I never would have served that. Just disappointing.

    The food is the best Italian in new Smyrna beach. Love the place. Pizzas are excellent too.

    Good service and excellent food. Love this place and visit frequently. We like to sit at the bar mostly but occasionally like to be seated at a table. They are always very accommodating.

    Food was excellent. Service good..overall restaurant was very loud and cold. You had to struggle to talk at your own table. And temperatures very cold.

    The food was amazing. Great atmosphere! The music was a it loud but the performer was great. We enjoyed the lobster ravioli, short rib ravioli and more.

    There were 14 drunks in the restaurant screaming at each other. Staff did nothing. I asked for the owner or manager and neither came. It appeared there was no active manager on the premises. I will never go back.

    Wonderful dinner . One of our go to spots. We had the special papardelle pasta with what was supposed to be filet . However it was chuck roast I believe. Nonetheless it was excellent. Our server Was great . I’ll mess his name I’m sure So I won’t try , sounded like Dennis but with an S. Greek fella .
