Located in the heart of the the Most Beautiful Square in Texas, City Post Chophouse began its story as a post office in the 1930s, during the Great Depression and Prohibition. Nearly a century later, the beautifully renovated historic building now offers an elevated dining experience, live music and private events.

Executive Chef Adrian Corkill has curated a stand-out menu, featuring fine cuts and chops of beef, lamb, and pork, as well as fresh seafood and decadent side dishes served family style, along with unique handcrafted cocktails. Accommodations for vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets are readily available. Our wine selection includes something for everyone, with a variety of by-the-glass options.

Reservations can be made for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch in our main dining room, where “Texas formal” attire is appropriate. Walk-ins are welcome in our oyster bar, where our full menu is available with a more relaxed dress code.

    The staff & food is absolutely wonderful! We celebrated our wedding anniversary and it was perfect! We felt the staff cared and took care of us! It was a beautiful night all around. Thank you! We look forward to our next visit.

    Such a great restaurant! The food was cooked perfectly and everything we tried was so delicious. Staff were very attentive and the ambience was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

    Service was exceptional. Atmosphere was top tier and steaks were out of this world. Best dirty martini I’ve had in awhile.

    The food was excellent, highly recommend the scallops as a starter. My wife had the Chilean sea bass. Unbelievable ! I had the 35 day dry aged ribeye. Again perfectly cooked. Lobster Mac and cheese for two is a perfect match. Cocktails were very good. It will be an excellent but expensive evening. Well worth it.

    We had a lovely dinner at CPC. The Cocktails were delish and so was the salad Filet and sides. I love the ambience and it’s the classiest place in Georgetown for sure.

    Grahm, our server, was fabulous. This the the third time we have had the fortune to have him lead us through this wonderful venture. Tonight’s experience was just wonderful, from the Creamy mushroom soup, delicious crab cake and homemade mayonnaise, deliciously prepared filet mignon slider, and then and exquisite chocolate mousse. Incroyable.!!!! The somolier helped us chose a lovely Bordeaux which paired well with each course. Bravo!!!
