The Coastal Kitchen Monterey is an idyllic setting to enjoy inspirational fine dining. The culinary efforts are on display in the show kitchen and the service team is poised to offer impassioned explanations.

Chef Michael Rotondo’s multi-coursed tasting menu focuses on sustainability and celebrates the bounty of the Monterey Bay and Central Coast. A wine pairing of thoughtfully curated wines selected by the Sommelier team is available to complement each captivating course.

Additionally, we are also offering our Champagne Brunch on Sundays for 10am to 2pm.

Dinner Menus: Multiple Course Tasting Menu starts at $145 per person (Tuesday to Saturday Evenings)
3 Course Prix Fixe Menu $85 ( Tuesday to Thursday evenings)
Champagne Brunch Prix Fixe Menu: $75 per person (Sundays from 10am to 2pm)
Reservation Cancellation Policy: 24 Hours Prior to Reservation Time
Late Cancellation Fee: $50 per guest cancelation.

Our carefully crafted tasting menu by Executive Chef Michael Rotondo, who brings a fresh culinary prowess to the Peninsula, explores new ground using the treasures that abound throughout our coastal region. Together with the sublime wine pairings curated by Sommelier Conrad Reddick, this epicurean journey invites you to plunge into the rhythm of the coast. An unforgettable experience served with uninterrupted views of Monterey Bay and the ocean crashing beneath your feet.

                    What is a 3 star Michelin Restaurant? According to the Michelin guide: A three-star restaurant is one that offers “exceptional cuisine that is worth a special journey.” My wife and I travel over 2500 miles each year to celebrate our wedding anniversary at nowhere else other than the Coastal Kitchen with Chef Michael Rotondo and his wonderful staff. From the initial warm and friendly greeting from Conrad the Maitre D’ Hotel and Sommelier you will be experiencing a 5 course tasting delight never to be experienced anywhere else on the Monterey Peninsula! Chef Michael makes it a point to welcome each guest table before dinner service to ensure they are ready for culinary experience like no other and ensures there are no allergens to affect their tasting experience. For an additional charge, each course will be paired with an exceptional wine to highlight the nuisances of every dish. Rachel our wine server had extensive knowledge of each wine served and made the pairing so much more enjoyable. Jesus and Eli our food servers were always on point and added to the attentiveness of the entire staff! We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the quality of the food served at every course. The Basque cheese cake was off the chart! The French Laundry was an icon of the Napa Valley in its day but the new rising icon of the Monterey Peninsula is the Coastal Kitchen! Thank You Chef Michael and the Monterey Plaza Hotel for a wonderful 3 star Michelin dining experience! The Coastal Kitchen truly offers exceptional cuisine that is worth a special journey!

                    This is a definite four star experience, the four of us had the "Tasting menu with wine" and it was spectacular. Each "taste" was lovely to look at and tasty as can be. Since the menu changes frequently, I'll only mention a few "tastes". The striped bass was presented crispy, perfectly cooked, the short rib was fork tender with a lovely huckleberry au jus, cheesecake desert with berry ice was lick-the-plate. The wines chosen for each course added to the experience. Staff was attenuative without being intrusive. Highly recommend this, we're already planning to return to try the 3 course prix fix menu.

                    Great experience. We had the prix fixe menu and both of us loved it. Miso soup was not great but every other course was really outstanding. Beautiful restaurant. It was my 70th birthday so we splurged...probably wouldn't spend that much unless it was another special occasion but we sure loved it!

                    Quiet, classy, comfortable setting. Went there on a date night with my wife. We had the three course meal which was perfect for us. Food quality was great. Service was awesome. Would definitely recommend this place for a date night.
