The beloved Corner Hotel is a cultural institution in the heart of Melbourne for lovers of all things music, sport and food.

Only a short walk to Melbourne’s Olympic Park sporting precinct and regularly screening a variety of sporting blockbusters, the venue is also the perfect place to grab a pre or post-match bite.

Choose from the extensive contemporary pub menu and situate yourself amongst the vibrant greenery of the newly renovated rooftop bar whilst sipping on a drink from the impressive cocktail list. The front bar also makes for a great late night destination, with resident DJs keeping the party going until the early hours of the morning whilst spinning a range of rock and dancefloor classics. Very good service again and very good food one of our steaks was bit overcooked as we would have liked but it’s okay it was still juicy and full of flavour and the chicken ribs where really good with the sauce and the beer was good as well and we will be back again every time there is a soccer game this place is our regular spot every time Melbourne victory is playing at Ammi Park

The reliability of fast and friendly service, quality meals - Parmas on this occasion - and the outstanding 4 Pines Japanese Lager is what keeps our party of 10 regulars coming back week after week.

We were hoping for a fun night at the corner hotel which has happened in the past. Booked here for a hens hoping for a fun night but they were renovating and it was terrible. Did not notify our booking otherwise we would have gone somewhere else. All the best bits blocked off and nothing like we hoped for. Very disappointing.

A fun place to enjoy a late afternoon drink and meal . Staff were very friendly and food was delicious, as usual.

Was my brothers going away and we had the upstairs room next to the bar which was amazing. Food was great & fast! One problem we had was one of the bartenders who was on a power trip .. I would’ve had 4 drinks in 3 hours and when I went to the bar was told “you should drink some water I don’t want to cut you off” actually thought he was joking at first But he was being dead serious and continued on his little rant Now I suffer from a lisp and it gets pretty bad after a few drinks which I told him … He didn’t like that and continued on another rant. It was so bad to the point other staff members were coming up to me and apologising for what had happened and tell me he’s done this quite a lot in the past and they’ve had complaints about him. At this point corner hotel you need to deal with power trip egotistical staff like this as it’s a bad image for a rather great venue.

On a quieter Sunday afternoon our table of 10 experienced disappointingly variable food service. Two “Corner Chicken Parmas” ordered at 2:15pm took 30-40 minutes and when served were drier than usual - it appeared every had been forgotten and left under food warmers. Conversely, another only slightly later order for the same Corner Chicken Parma item was out 10 minutes and was a fresher and more generous serve. Aside from this, the 4 Pines Japanese Style Lager is a highlight and keeps our group of 10 coming back week after week, with great friendly and efficient bar staff in the main bar upstairs.
