They took us to a random middlw table where we have made a prior resevation, except that diasppointment, the food and value was good.

I eat at two good Cotes ..yours and the Cote in Islington Green..both very reliable and the food excellent in both restaurants.

We took friends to ivy for breakfast food fine service not quite up to normal standard but l think the girl might have been new to the job . My only real complaint was we were squashed on to a table probably big enough for 2, ended up having balance food on table.It was not busy so why put us on a table obviously to small? Easily avoidable mistake.

I used to go to Cote quite often. I liked the selection of dishes, the quality and reasonable prices. Sadly, the quality of food deteriorated so much that we will soon see this brand to join other chain restaurants that disappeared from the high streets. We went for a birthday dinner and the waiters did their best to make this occasion special. However, the food we received was so poor that I felt deeply embarrassed in front of the birthday man and our guests. Calamari seemed to have been re-heated and re-frozen several times before being served. I was sick whole night after I ate my portion. Fish pie was just taken from a freezer and re-heated but not entirely as the inside was still frozen while the outside was burning hot. It is a real shame that yet another restaurant falls victim of excessive money saving where the quality of food is sacrificed for a short term gain. A really bad and short sighted corporate practice. I will certainly not venture to Cote again.
