The Crown & Mitre is a Grade II listed building built as private houses in the 1600's and converted into a pub in 1743.
Since that date the premises have retained not just the name but also the licence. It’s now an independent freehold pub business. We have recently taken over and are eager to create something unique to King’s Lynn.

As an established company and our key team having over 100 years experience in the licensed trade, we bring all our love for great food, wine and beer to the Crown & Mitre for your delight.

Located at the end of Ferry St on the shores of the great River Ouse the pub is steeped in nautical memorabilia that adds a touch of quirkiness and gets you wondering how old they are and where it all came from.

Express menu for Alive Corn Exchange guests only. 2 courses are £20, 3 courses are £25. We are a one minute walk from the Corn Exchange. This menu is designed for a quick and tasty bite before or after your show. Starters - Beetroot, burrata, dukkah OR Duck liver pate, red onion chutney OR Tempura prawns, wasabi mayo Mains - Chicken schnitzel, potato & egg salad OR Leek & mushroom pot pie, chips, salad OR Seafood and prawn curry Desserts - Chocolate tart (ve) Chantilly, berries OR Lemon posset OR Rum & raisin tiramisu T&C's - you **MUST PRE-BOOK for the EXPRESS MENU for the DAY OF YOUR SHOW** Tickets for each diner to be shown to staff on arrival. A treasure of a place was made to feel welcome on arrival and after a quiet unhurried pint was shown to our table with a stunning view across the river and to be greeted by a very professional waitress who took our order from an amazing menu, We had a Sunday roast which was exceptional and very flavoursome. Followed by dessert. Will definitely return as this was a visit before the show at the corn exchange 2minutes walk away.

We love this restaurant, so chose it for our celebration and the staff were lovely, helping us with photographs, and offering us congratulations and best wishes. The food as always was amazing, thank you so much J & R

We had the express deal linked to the theatre and although the menu on offer wasn’t available due it being near closing time we were offered roast as an alternative and it was lovely. Staff were excellent! We will go again without doubt.

The food & service were both great, however couple of things let it down, firstly we had our order taken and starters came quickly, however we were then sat there with the dirty plates for approximately 40 mins, and it wasn't until I got up to ask if we could get our main courses that they realised the Kitchen did not get the check with the main courses. If a member of staff had come to clear the starters or do a satisfaction check then they would have realised the problem sooner. They were apologetic and they did give us a free round of drinks to compensate. The second problem was that we were sat in the glass extension at the side of the building overlooking the water with a great view of the river, however there are no blinds in the glass roof, so as the sun was shining the heat was awful, please get some ceiling blinds installed. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, and we will visit again

First class service from the minute we walked in, friendly staff, excellent food served promptly and very well presented. We sat looking out over the river, ideal.

We had the pre theatre menu which was £20 for 2 courses, it was a limited menu understandably what we had was absolutley delicious, the staff were very friendly and accomadating. It was so enjoyable that we are going to visit again to experiance the full menu. highly recomend.

We had a great Sunday roast at the Crown & Mitte kings Lynn, the food was excellent and staff very friendly. One member of staff kindly kept back a nut roast ad I had rang earlier, which was much appreciated. Great ambience and some great nautical deco 😊

Crown & Mitre did not disappoint on our second visit. Pre theatre menu was excellent value for money. Food was great, as was menu choices. Service was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend and we will return 😎
