In an attempt to honor the history of our beautiful building, the third Melon Bank ever built, we pay homage to its past! We chose period correct lighting and finishes from 1940 to bring it all together!

Della Terra which translates to “of the earth” transforms the essence of a small town eatery. Centrally located in historic downtown Zelienople, our goal is to capture the warmth and comfort of an Italian trattoria.  Chefs reinterprets the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring an ingredient-driven cuisine that pulls inspiration from the Italian cooking tradition to create meaningful food, celebrating the restaurant’s ongoing relationship with its local family of farmers and suppliers.

    Everyone enjoyed the food for the most part. Pizza and salad were the best picks. The pasta dishes were good but the gnocchi was very salty. The pizza was not cooked fully and had to request for it to be cooked more. No substitutions or adjustments can be made to any meal making it difficult for those with food allergies. Have had better experiences in the past.

    Another meal at Della Terra and another evening of being absolutely blown away by how delicious everything is. We are so lucky to have this local gem here in Zelienople. The consistency of the food quality is on point and the service is prompt. Familiar faces behind the bar and in the semi-visible chef's station speaks to low staff turnover...always a good thing to see these days. The cocktails are delicious and the happy hour prices are such a welcomed treat in the later evening. Ordered an off-menu Vodka Rigatoni and it was perfection! Thank you to the staff for making the monthly date nights for this local Dad and Mom so special each time...most every month when we get to get away for an evening it's almost always to Della Terra. We are always happy with our visit.

    The food and service were great. The table we received was behind a barrier and right next to the firewood for the pizza oven.

    Overall we were not impressed. The menu is limited with few options, the prices are high for the serving size and our service was bare minimum. The atmosphere was unique and the food was good but overpriced. . . $18 for breadsticks is a little ridiculous. What Italian restaurant doesn’t provide breadsticks? They offer drinks for happy hour, but you have to sit at the bar to order them. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to the Kauffman House.

    Never disappoints !! One of our favourite go to restaurants . This is a standout destination for Italian cuisine, consistently impressing with its exceptional pizzas and pastas. Whether you're a devoted foodie or simply seeking a memorable dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. It seamlessly combines high-quality ingredients with innovative recipes, marrying traditional Italian concepts with touches of international flair, such as their curried lamb gnocchi, pierogi pizza ensuring every meal is extraordinary.

    The menu is different. Nothing was really great. Soup was cold and pizza was soggy. Will not be going back

    The food was excellent as always. Menu is not extensive, but choice. Enjoy that the chef tweaks the menu seasonally and specials are offered. Wait staff was attentive and knowledgable regarding choices . Worth a local drive if you do not live in Zelie… However , for our taste, the pop music did not match the elegance of the dishes and was too loud to converse quietly.
