   The service was excellent. The free bread, delicious and made in-house daily, was a real treat. However, my steak did not have much flavour. I ordered the truffle brand tenderloin on mushrooms. It was cooked correctly but the real beef taste wasn’t there.

   Steak cooked perfectly, mussels were a little bland but everything else was great. Staff were also very attentive. Would definitely go again and recommend to others.

   Reminiscent of RauDZ, until the food comes. The Brie appetizer is unreal, but one must know that it is RICH and definitely for sharing with 4+ people. The entrees were fabulous, BUT the chocolate cake finish may have ‘taken the cake’…literally…you choose the size. Overall a WIN. We’ll be back.

   Excellent expérience. Our Watier was attentive and knowledgeable about the cuts and specifics of the meat, specifically the wagu. Great service. Food was very tasty. A bit pricy for some of the offerings so it’s a splurge occasion. Recommend the tartar and the wagu steak.

   Our service provided by Cody was impeccable. We had the table side Caesar salad. The presentation was entertaining. The salad itself was very tasty. We had steaks that were cooked to the exact temperature we love and perfectly seasoned. All the sides were exceptional. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant.

   It was our first time to the restaurant and found that we enjoyed the whole experience of what Derricks is all about… A great Steak restaurant The only thing we would say was it was quite noisy and hard to hear each other talk. There was a birthday party on the long table and so we would go back and hopefully will be better noise level

   Dinner was very good. Offering an opening glass of sparkling wine (two options, one cheaper and the other more expensive) seems a bit cheesy to me. Also, bringing a platter of raw meat to the table to explain the types of steak is not very appetizing. Especially since I was with a pescatarian! We had the table side caesar salad which was very good. The butter that comes with the bread was good but hard as a rock. We also had the french onion soup, which was extremely good and flavourful. French onion soup is usually too salty, but this one was not and the depth of flavour was incredible. Also had a 10oz strip loin which was perfectly cooked with great sear and was very flavourful. Had the mushrooms as a side, which were ok, but not worth the price. Couldn't taste the truffle at all. Service was fantastic. Would definitely recommend and will go back again.

    Delicious food, creative cocktails, wonderful wine list, outstanding attention to guests, a great mix of classic and modern aesthetic for a steakhouse. Definitely returning and encouraging locals and tourists alike to enjoy their next special meal at Derrick's.
