Desi Vega is the restaurateur of Desi Vega's Steakhouse, Mr. John's Steakhouse, and Desi Vega's Prime Burgers & Shakes. Desi grew up in the restaurant business and was groomed by Ella Brennan at Commander's Palace, Ruth Fertel of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Emeril Lagasse. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence makes for a truly memorable dining experience.
Our USDA Prime steaks are carefully selected, hand-cut and aged for tenderness, then seared to perfection and served on a sizzling plate. Seafood selections include steamed crabs and lobster, Gulf fish in various preparations each day, and plenty of other seafood.

During times of inclement weather, the Heritage Plaza Parking Garage may be used and parking tickets validated in the Restaurant. Handicap Parking is on Level 3 (Lobby level of the Restaurant).

Our steaks and lobster were to die for. The sides, spinach and loaded baked potato were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My valentine expresso martini was delicious! Above all this was our attentive and kind waiter Matthew. Wonderful evening!

Everything about this place was absolutely wonderful. Our server Courtney was fabulous. Food was over and above delicious.

Always a wonderful experience. Charlize & Oscar did an outstanding job. Alex is the epitome of a great general manager. Shout out to the lemon wrapper! Excellence is in the details.

This is the second time we have been to dine there and the food is hit or miss. The ribeye steak was terrible! Thin, chewy and tough!

The pork chop was really good. The grilled red fish was really fresh. Our server was very attentive. The entire lunch was very timely. They have a great dessert menu.

The hostess and floor manager were quick to adjust our seating from 6 to 4 when a couple could not attend at the last minute……which was great. The food itself was excellent, 4 different steak entrees + 4 different sides. The bread was served warm and was very nice as well. The service was the weakness of the outing, as the two waitstaff who handled our table appeared stretched very thin, and it showed. They were both very competent, but were obviously forced to handle more tables-diners than optimal. One bottle of $80 wine, 6 cocktails, one desert, and entrees + sides for a party of 4 totaled $625 before tip……so a $775 bill when I took care of the wait staff…….and the ambiance of a hotel banquet room.
