   Ok…decor a bit tired, food ok, not many choices for GF, my poached egg was hard boiled, small portion for price ( which I don’t mind if perfect). The positives were it was warm and the waitress was helpful. Would not go back.

   The Devonshire Arms, Baslow does not have the same atmosphere or food (except the pies! Which are superb!) as the Pilsney Inn, although part of the Chatsworth Grp of pubs. But is a good solid choice for a pub meal nothing fancy just good food, good service.

   Lovely premises, friendly staff but let down by the food. We both ordered a beef Sunday lunch with a side of cauliflower cheese. (Three menu choices were off) The beef was quite chewy, the veg weren’t particularly warm and the roast potatoes were rock hard. The cauliflower cheese was small and watery. This is third time we’ve had Sunday lunch there. First time was excellent, second time was very average but though maybe a bad day. Third (and last) time was poor and clearly had been sat about all day.

   Best Sunday lunch apart from my own 😋. I ate in the bar, I was a lone female diner which isn't always an easy experience. I was made to feel very welcome by the bar staff, helped to chose a dining option. I chose to eat in the bar rather than take my booked table in the restaurant which was more formal than I wanted. The full Sunday lunch menu was available in the bar. I chose the roast belly pork with all the trimmings. The food was amazing, well cooked, lots of veggies, super Yorkshire and scrummy gravy. The staff were friendly and helpful. 10/10 for venue, staff and food. I felt like I'd had a real treat. Thank you Devonshire Arms

   All perfect, very clean and dog friendly, only disappointment that a few things were off the menu.

   Lovely restaurant setting and staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was excellent and they even provided a water bowl for our pooch.
