Built in the 1800 as a very modest Bajan home, Dis Ole House is now living its best life hosting people to take part in our wonderful island’s culinary flavors. We offer a very stark contrast to the much grander Sam Lord's Castle at whose gates we are neatly nestled. We provoke curiosity and experiences where little touches like our enamel tableware will make any Bajan smile with yesteryear nostalgia. The area itself is nostalgic; Sam Lord himself must have roamed here, right? We’re proud promoters of all “tings” Bajan, celebrating our ancestors, history, and culture. Come drink a rum punch (or two--who are we to judge?) and try our very traditional dishes: cutters, fish cakes, roast breadfruit, or our national dish, Cou Cou & Flying Fish. We boast as a seafood lover's paradise, Lobster, Conch, Sea Cat (octopus), and Sea Egg (seasonal) are all among our fresh local offerings, grilled, pickled, and blacken the Bajan way.

Great ambiance. Service excellent from reception to goodbye. Food (speechless). Price for three reasonable (I was able to tip). Yes we would return.

What a joyful and artistic environment! This place is so lovely and eclectic that it immediately generates smiles! The staff were all gracious and we enjoyed the music. I’m delighted to have discovered this unique restaurant and can’t wait to come back.

Second time here and the food and service was as good as we remembered. Lovely place and great atmosphere with excellent friendly service

This was a beautiful and chic spot for lunch. The food is authentic and cooked with love, which you can taste in every bite. We had some delicious appetizers, well balanced cocktails, and exceptional main courses. All the servers were friendly and knowledgeable and helped us have a really special experience. We absolutely love this restaurant and will definitely return!

This is our second time here in as many trips to the Barbados. If you're in the Barbados you need to come and eat here. It's terrific. The service staff are so pleasant and friendly and helpful. The food is excellent

We ate twice here last week and our first meal experience was fine apart from the fact we were sitting next to a wall on a throughway and every time a waitress passed, which was frequently, the floor shook. Our Friday experience wasn't so good as previous visits. The wine list only offered three whites and the one chosen was out of stock. Table cleaning hygiene left a little to be desired and we were given our bill immediately after our meal without asking. Not a great experience. Overall, we have eaten many times here before and been very satisfied but on this year's experience I would say food fine but not fabulous and overall table management needs to be better ie not just relying on a waitress to get it right.

The service and ambiance were excellent. I had the BBQ pork ribs which were very good. My wife had the catch of the day and it was overcooked. The dessert was good also. The chairs we were sitting in were uncomfortable and not very supportive. Overall, a fun resturant.

Absolutely wonderful. Evening arranged for our anniversary. Great service by our server Shanni who was a sweetheart. Lovely ambience , perfect fishcakes, delicious conch. Cocktails banging. Did not love the honey chicken but that might be my personal taste. Would definitely go again and would recommend to others. Thank you for a lovely evening

We arrived 10 minutes early we were left in outside seats for almost an hour and not once asked would we like a drink. My husband got up and ordered 3 drinks they never arrived. We were shown to our seat where we got our menus food for another table arrived but we had to explain to a perplexed server it wasn’t ours. When our food arrived my mash was stone cold and lumpy my husband’s chips were also cold my son’s steak was over cooked and dry however the shrimp in his surf and turf was good. We ordered another drink four times which took a further hour to arrive. It was an awful shame that the night was such a disappointment as we have gone to that restaurant every time we visit Barbados. The icing on the cake was the server wanted to know on top of the 12% service charge how much were we going to give her? Seriously! Very very upset that a restaurant that held great family memories for us was so appalling last night.
