District Bistro,Located at 11230 Grandview Ave, offers classic American Cuisine utilizing simple, high quality ingredients from local farm Co-ops and Creameries in Pennsylvania. Founded and headed by Chef Pedro Matamoros who has been crafting spectacular American cuisine for the past 30 years in locations such as the Tabard Inn, Nicaro, 8407 Kitchen Bar, Bluebird Cocktail Room in Baltimore and more.
After Embarking on the journey to create Franks Burger Place in Wheaton with his two sons, Marlon and Derek Matamoros. Chef Pedro, Inspired by his love of cooking and community, Fell upon the opportunity to Bring to Wheaton what he believed was missing, a casual Eatery to enjoy great food, and classic hand crafted cocktails.

We had a really nice meal at District Bistro. It feels like being at home in many ways. The food was delicious, the service friendly and relaxed and the ambiance very informal.

Terrific birthday dinner at District Bistro! creative dishes, perfectly seasoned, came out hot and very quickly. The cocktails were high quality and well balanced. It’s family run and you can tell the team cares about every aspect of the experience. That kind of service is getting hard to come by in the saturated MoCo food scene. We will be back ASAP

We had a great lunch at District Bistro. The server was excellent - charming and attentive but not overbearing. We loved the beignets and the menu offered many good options for all. My shrimp and grits were delicious and all portion sizes were generous but not ridiculous. Our usual spot in Garrett Park was booked so we tried this. We will definitely come back. Well worth the quick trip to Wheaton for this gem. Also - easy parking across the street and prices were just a little below what we have become accustomed to paying.

Creative and delicious dishes at affordable prices. Want to go back to try some of the other options. Hats off to the chef.

Really wonderful food and service. A modest-looking restaurant that could hold its own with the best restaurants in the DC area. Whatever you pay your chef(s), give them a raise! We were blown away with both the entrees, salad and desserts. Pricey, but we will definitely return for special occasions.

Went for Valentine's dinner. The food was wonderful, but some of the little things distracted...use of cheap paper napkins rather than cloth (cloth would have complimented the "Bistro" vibe), shared an appetizer and they did not provide small plates for each of us (2), food was delivered but we had no cutlery to eat it with...we had to track down our server to get cutlery. Same thing happened with dessert. Service needs to be worked on, but luckily the food helped us get over that. Love the variety of the menu...so nice to have that in our neighborhood. Will definitely go back on a non-holiday.

Food was excellent. Was there for Valentine’s Day so was busy and service was a little slow. But excellent value and beautifully prepared dishes. Chocolate bread pudding was fantastic.
