We proudly opened our second Doce Mesas location in August 2022, situated on the Northeast corner of North Central Expressway and Walnut Hill Lane. This location was given a different approach and seats over 100 guest in our main dining area, and another 100 on our split-level patio with a generous outdoor stage.

Our experience was beyond what was expected!!! Our server Oscar deserves a raise and promotion! He was spot on with all of our orders,and how quickly the food came out was crazy. We were celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday and she was blown away by the cake presentation and the music! Definitely a night to remember!!

Loved this location! I hadn’t been here before. It was such a fun date night. My only complaint would be the music is a little too loud. But the food is spectacular! Would definitely come again!

We’ve been loyal patrons of Doce Mesas for years at the McKinney Ave location and have visited the Walnut Hill location several times. Unfortunately, each visit to 'the Hill' leaves us feeling disappointed. The interior design of this location is problematic—it’s extremely loud, the seating options are uncomfortable, and the oval-shaped tables are impractical for groups ordering multiple dishes. While the staff made an effort to accommodate us, the poor design of the space amplifies the noise, making conversation nearly impossible. In contrast, the new Maple location is fantastic—why couldn’t Walnut Hill be designed with a similar approach? It was frustrating to struggle to hear a friend we hadn’t seen in a long time during this dinner.

Food was good and service was very attentive. Had reservations for 6 was put at table for 4 and made it work. Not a lot of tables for parties larger than 4. Overall would recommend for a date night or Bday night.

We were sitting at a table in between 2 tables of 20 young women having a great time. The noise was deafening. I think it was loud without them but they took it over the top. We barely finished our dinner so we could get out of there. Every thing else was really good so we will try again another night

Great place for Mexican food. We sat at the bar and the bartender whipped up some tasty Margaritas with a smile. We had dinner at the bar too because our firat table was too small. The bar was quite comfortable and perfectly fine for dining. Queso Flameado was tasty and melty. Pozole was a bit watery and lacking flavor but my partner had a real meal of Carne Asada and loved it. Cool, modern ambiance in an open, airy space. I will return!

The service and food was outstanding. If your lunch or dinner is a business meeting, you should request a table in the north side of the restaurant (away from the bar and front door). The tables close to the kitchen can become quite noisy. I made a mistake in my ordering and I admitted the mistake and told the waitress that I would take it to go and for her to put in another order with no dressing on my taco salad. Very quickly a new taco salad came out without dressing and she said the restaurant would not be charging me for the first salad. I was pleasantly surprised by their gesture. My water glass and ice tea were never empty and the restaurant is very clean. The value for the food is very good. The portions are very good. JCalhoun
