Welcome to our extraordinary take on the classic steakhouse located next to the Winthrop Plaza off of Bloomingdale! Our recently refurbished establishment combines rustic charm with elevated culinary experiences, featuring a diverse selection of steaks, chops, and wild game.     Wonderful food, service and ambiance. Really enjoyed our dinner there and will return next time we are in Tampa. Great old fashion! Loved the peppercorn sauce on the filet and NY strip. The spaghetti and meatballs were just ok. Hayden was a great server and the manager accommodated our large party with ease.

    We had an 8 top which in its self for one server is not an easy task. It was a slow start after about 15 mins the floor manager came over to poor water for the table. Soon after our waiter took the drink orders things got back on track drinks were served in a timely matter and dinner orders were taken. Although the restaurant is a steak house we had the pasta and meatballs which were excellent. The chicken parm was tender and the tomato sauce was very good Overall service was great all eight dinners were served together A+ to the expediter back in the kitchen. The owner stopped by the table to give a thank you to insure we had a pleasant experience which we did. Overall ambience of the Restaurant is well done, pleasant atmosphere. We highly recommend. For veterans 20% discount on food orders quite exceptional. Overall rating 4.5 out of 5. Thanks GregT Semper Fi

    It was a great experience. The staff was friendly, the food was 10/10. It's a nice gem in Riverview and we will be back.

    We recently had the pleasure of dining at Donovan’s Meatery, and it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The cocktails and wine selection were top-notch, setting the tone for a memorable evening. Our meal featured the perfectly cooked waygu ribeye, rich truffle mac & cheese, flavorful Brussels sprouts, and hearty mushrooms—all of which were nothing short of exceptional. The grand finale was the delightful carrot cake for dessert, leaving us completely satisfied. The service was impeccable, attentive without being overbearing. We can’t recommend Donovan’s Meatery highly enough for an unforgettable dining experience.

    I wanted to have a special evening with my wife on a special occasion. I found DONOVAN’s with an Internet search. We had never been before. We started with the Lobster Bisque. I have had Lobster Bisque is dozens of restaurants. Donovan’s was the best I’ve ever had. My wife loved it too. My wife’s steak was overcooked. She told the waiter and in no time the manager brought her a new one, perfectly cooked and delicious. My Prime Rib was on point as were the sides. As it was a special day for us, they gave us a free carrot cake. We both love carrot cake and theirs is a little different but absolutely top notch. Our whole experience there was wonderful. Great food, impeccable service (I think our waiter was Haylen), warm and wonderful decor and a pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely go back again for another special occasion. We HIGHLY recommend Donovan’s.

    The food was amazing. My son and I both ordered the cowboy ribeye. It was cooked wonderfully and exactly how we like (medium). I ordered the truffle fries with my meal and he ordered the garlic mash. I enjoyed the garlic mash and the fries had good flavor and nice crispness. I would have preferred them to be the standard cut instead of what appeared to be a pomme soufflé cut but it worked well. The chocolate cake was very good. Not too sweet and the icing was whipped and light. My son went to town on it. 🤗 overall it was a great experience and I would definitely dine there again and try other items.

    Our steaks were overcooked, but they tasted good. They said that they would take some off the bill for the mistake on the steaks, but didn’t. For a 50+ dollar steaks they should be cooked perfectly. We will give it another chance. The other food, drinks and service were all good.

    Highly recommended! Food was amazing, service was excellent (thanks, Taryn!), and ambiance was delightful. Only issue was that there were a few individuals wearing tank tops and flip flops. Wish people would follow the recommended dress code 😐
