We would go back to this good restaurant except for the incredible noise by the time we finished eating and left. We arrived early at 5 pm for dinner and all was very nice until the restaurant started to fill up later in our meal. By the time we finished a good dinner the restaurant was so loud that it hurt, and we hurried to get out.

The food here is absolutely amazing, and the dishes arrived quickly after ordering, which was a plus. However, the service was disappointing. My server seemed visibly unhappy and even told me not to order from another server because he was "the server." When I tried to ask questions, he appeared annoyed, as if I was interrupting him from watching the game on TV. The food alone is worth it, but the service could definitely use some improvement.

Excellent food and even better service - this place is so efficient - they always provide fast service without making you feel like they're hurrying you along - its a really competent staff - from the matron at the front desk to the cooks in the back to every waiter/bus-person - they are all top notch And the food is comparable to any fancy upscale italian place - Doppio Zero is the best

My wife ordered her favorite dish, the Marechiaro (squid ink pasta), and I had my favorite, good old Lasagna. Doppio Zero really knows how to cook, as both entrees were perfect. They arrived a little hot, but that's way better than getting food that's too cold. Our server, Marlena, was charming, friendly and efficient. She checked on us several times, ensuring that our late Valentine's Day dinner was just right. Our only complaint is that it was a bit too cold for us, and we had to change seats due to the breeze blowing through much of the restaurant.

Great food, a little chaotic with a fully filled restaurant but the wait staff was still very attentive and helpful . Only downside was it was a little loud and tables were very tightly squished together making it hard to have conversations… so if you are looking for lively fun evening with good food this is a great choice but if you want quiet romantic atmosphere maybe not so much.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Bay Area, and we brought our nephews here for the first time. They loved it too. We started out with the appetizer of brussels sprouts, roasted with pancetta, that was delicious. Ordered two pizzas and a pasta dish for four of us and the portions and flavor was wonderful as always.

I’ll put 1star only for the girl in the front that told us to seat outside in the late evening on my Birthday when it was cold and no one outside! (She didn’t smile at all, looks like she doesn’t want to be there and I can understand, but it’s your work place anyway)There was space available inside and I had a reservation but she didn’t care and I’m sure the reason for that was my tiny dog! Great food service should be better

My friend and I came into a restaurant that was maybe 10% full, we had a reservation. The hostess put us at a table that was crammed up against the bar. There were two other tables next to us and so we moved to one of those. The waiter was great and the food amazing.
