Dorrego’s, is named for the famed Plaza Dorrego, a public square located in the historic San Telmo neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hotel Valencia Riverwalk draws inspiration from the rich culinary heritage of Argentina. He carries a rich history of many hotels and restaurants that brings a diverse culinary experience to our table. An extensive wine list will be a focal point for diners. The restaurant’s décor reflects the Spanish Colonial design and architectural heritage of Argentina, with a touch of Parisian bistro panache. Dorrego’s also features a new restaurant bar, and the welcoming space is ideal for gathering and lingering. Dorrego’s appealing terrace features additional seating topped with comfortable Spanish/Mediterranean-style cushions. The terrace features numerous planter pots, which blend the space into its tranquil River Walk setting.

We will be hosting a "Surf and Turf" Watch Party for the Holiday Light Parade, for $75.00 on our stunning terrace overlooking the San Antonio Riverwalk. This will include NY Strip with Chimichurri Sauce, Bacon-wrapped BBQ Glazed Shrimp, Lemon-Scented Asparagus & Potatoes, and also a decadent cast iron skillet s'mores, plus 2 featured cocktails. We went in later in the evening for dinner on a Saturday night. Understandably, some items were no longer available. Our server was so kind and apologetic even offering to comp a meal that was ordered but no longer available. This is something that happens in restaurants and completely understandable. My only “complaint” is that everything seemed to take a while to come out, drinks and food, which was weird because it was the end of the evening and the restaurant was not busy at all. Dinner was delicious. Everyone really loved the flavors and the preparation. Desserts were not my favorite, but not bad. Cocktails were delicious. I would definitely go back if I am ever back in San Antonio.

Cocktails were delicious and we love that they did not skimp on the booze. Dinner was good but my ribeye was overcooked. A new one was brought out and it was perfect. I am bothered by the fact that that a manager did not come to check on us.

Dorregos was a pleasant surprise!!! The hotel and restaurant is decorated so beautifully. The food was so good. It was full of flavor and plated so pretty!! The service was #1. Our waiter was knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. There was nothing left on our plates, it was so good. I definitely will be back.

It was overpriced for the food we were given. Seating was not good. The host seemed disorganized or unsure of were to put us although we did have a reservation. Disappointed; we will not eat here again nor recommend this place.

The food was excellent!! The waiter was wonderful. The patio was closed for a Private event. That was my only disappointment.
