After receiving a text saying our table was ready for a reservation, we show up ten minutes later (on time). The host took one look at us and said, the table wasn’t ready. Despite a ton of open seating in the main dining room and outside, on a Monday night and despite being clear we were celebrating a birthday- she quickly set a table for us in the far back corner upstairs- alone save for a very loud party in the private banquet space. It was clear why they sat us there, it was so noisy and in a back corner with no other tables sat- so we left. I’ve seen racism enough to not tolerate it for any reason. Ruined a birthday celebration and created a memory for my adult children that they will never forget.

Your reservation indicated that you had a birthday in your group so when we plotted the reservations for the evening we gave your party our most desired and requested table. The message you received is a message that the system sends as your reservation approaches. When your group arrived the hostess went to add a chair to your table because she realized it had not been added earlier. We would have been happy to move you somewhere else had you let us know. I can assure you our only intention was for you to have a lovely celebration. We hope with this information you will give us another chance. If you would like to discuss this further please give us a call. Also we would love to send you a gift certificate for a future visit in the event you would consider another visit.

Hostess & server were great! Drinks & apps were very good too! The entrees were sub par but we didn’t go away hungry. We were seated in the small room in front on the first floor & enjoyed the ambiance.

The sushi was exceptional and the service even more so. The attention to detail without being overbearing is a hard balance and it was accomplished flawlessly.

First time visiting and it was a great experience! The ambiance gave “date night”. There was minimal noise and low light. We were there for a birthday dinner celebration so we shared appetizers, the calamari was amazing, we had 2 orders. We also had the bread and butter (don’t know what it’s actually called on the menu) and that was good as well. I had shrimp and grits as my entree and it was so very flavorful and filling, also had a bite of the crab cake which was equally delicious! I can’t wait to return. Lisa was our waitress and she was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Food was excellent. A little pricy, but worth it! Octopus appetizer was delicious, sliced thin like a carpaccio and seasoned with herbs and shaved garlic - unique and very enjoyable! Raw oysters were large and extremely satisfying. Lobster roll brought us back to memories of New England. Only slight complaint would be the shrimp po-boy was on a hot dog bun, not a baguette.

Ignore noise level as the survey doesn't give a choice for leaving it blank. I ate on the patio so n/a as it applies to the restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience.

The food was amazing. Everything fresh and well-seasoned. Waitress was a little inattentive and seemed very distracted. The only real complaint was the restaurant was freezing cold. Bring a sweater! The air conditioning was blowing pretty significantly down on our table the whole evening. So not only was it personally uncomfortable, it made the food go cold as well. It was only 60 degrees out so I'm not sure why it was even on.
