   All of the drinks we tried were great but the Coco Loco stood out. Caesar Salad & Pork Al Pastor were incredible as well.

   Had an amazing experience for a birthday dinner! The bar seating was excellent as a couple, and can't speak more highly of the Pork al Pastor, El Machete and Charred Octupus dishes. Service was amazing, between Katie our bartender who helped us construct our order as well and Michelle the manager who checked on us. Drinks were a delight as well, would recommend the Cafe Besos to cap off the evening!

   A very visually pleasing experience! Jason and Chris were very attentive and made us feel at home even though this is a very busy establishment! Nice presentation of the pork al pastor, brocollini, and squash tetela!

   Service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff is clearly passionate about the food and experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself to a memorable evening, Carlos Elegante delivers a dining experience that lingers long after the last bite. Had went to celebrate a dear friends birthday and for a first time dine in, we were all in awe. Everything was amazing and thank you to Michelle Johnson for the hospitality.

   So delicious. Very fun and lively, great cocktails. We tried half the menu and it was all very good. It was our anniversary and the waitstaff all signed a card for us, with actual well wishes and funny comments. Above and beyond for sure. Highly recommend!

   El Carlos Elegante is probably the best true Mexican Food experience in Dallas. You enter the restaurant to a warm inviting fire in front of a row of couches and chairs to wait for your table [reservations required]. The walls are decorated with pieces that accentuate the cantina-style atmosphere with pops of color and art that modernizes the space. They are a Masa restaurant so please ensure not to skip that part of the menu. The table came with chilled jicama in a pepper sauce that was an excellent way to kick off the night and a good palette cleanser throughout. We started with the Okra + Shishitos which were incredible with the pistachio salsa macha tossed thoroughly. We got the Squash Tetela masa which was absolutely incredible (somewhat of a slow burn spice in it too progressing with each bite adding extra flavor). We got the Pork al Pastor which was the best I’ve ever had (and that is a feat because I order it everywhere) the pineapple was an excellent touch and it came with blue corn tortillas which were out of this world. We got the key lime shortbread with guava foam at the end which was EXCELLENT. This is an awesome experience that everyone should have at least once in Dallas, TX.

   We were a group of six and ordered the Chef's tasting menu. What a great experience! There were more different items than we could count and had so much fun tasting and comparing what was our favorite. Just when we thought we could not eat another bite, out came fabulous desserts. We highly recommend this wonderful and fun experience. (BTW - service could not have been more attentive)

   I would highly recommend el Carlos to anyone who is going to be in the Dallas area! From cocktails all the way to dessert, the food was exceptional and unique. We got the chorizo molotes, guajillo chicken, charred octopus, and salmon civiche. They were all incredible. However, what really makes this place special is the team working there. I cannot say enough about our server Ileana, Michelle their AMG, their lovely and talented chef, and their whole service team. My boyfriend and I were only in the Dallas area very briefly, and they made our experience here so special. I’ve lived in/traveled to many of the best food cities in the country, and this restaurant is at the top of my list for food, service, and ambiance. You cannot miss this place if you are in the Dallas area!! We surely will be dining here again next time we are. P.S. Do not skip dessert, or you’re missing out! My favorite was their take on a key lime dessert, but they are all heavenly.

    What a beautiful restaurant! We had the Élégante experience, and it completely blew us away. Every dish was so thoughtful and delicious, including some off-menu surprises that made the night even more special. Our server was incredibly kind and made us feel so welcome. We also tried one of the mezcal flights—normally, I need a chaser, but this did not disappoint! Toward the end of the meal, the GM stopped by to say hello, which was such a nice touch, especially for my husband’s birthday. From the atmosphere to the service, everything was just perfect. I’d go back a million times over! A special special shoutout to the chef- I wish I could give you a forehead kiss! Thank you.
