   The food was wonderful and together with great service, my wife and I had a fantastic night. This was our first visit to El Santo. It will not be our last.

   Amazing experience. Team were so attentive & lovely. Food was exceptional! Great atmosphere & great to see they are family friendly. Great value for money & will be back.

   I went with my girlfriend, we both are from Bolivia, we enjoyed the taste of the food, the music and environment, and of course the attention, everyone was so gentle with us. Definitely we are going to come back soon

   I love this restaurant, I've only been for the Sunday BBQ and it's exceptional, I brought my 8 year old son this time as he has a big appetite and loves trying new things, he loved it. The meats are beautifully cooked, the sides are really nice, I could take a jar of their vinegarette home, the staff are really friendly and the music makes me feel like I'm on holiday, the place is a full vibe, I actually love that it's not super bright either. I recommend it to everyone who listens.

   Honestly not impressed overall and won’t be back. 2 out of our 3 meals came with this weird pile of powdered bread crumb and pineapple ? Honestly just felt like something to fill the plate. Some of the food was nice but nothing above average. The meal I got was basically just a couple of tiny sausages and some breadcrumbs for £19. We ordered 3 main meals (my portion was so small although others were decent but much more expensive ), 3 small side tacos, 2 fries, 4 alcoholic drinks and 2 fantas and the bill was £127 which just felt too much considering how average the food was. My partner also ordered ribs and they came medium rare although he wasn’t asked how he wanted them cooked and he really doesn’t like anything other than well done. The music was terrible. However our server was LOVELY!!! A blonde Scottish girl it was her first shift when she served us and she honestly couldn’t have been any better plus very accommodating door man. Staff very lovely but overall just not worth it. Gorgeous interior but definitely style over substance.

    I booked a table several weeks ago as my daughter was visiting from London. We booked a table at the bar, being familiar with the restaurant and the bar area, I called well beforehand to confirm that my booking would be at one of the high tables at the left hand side of the bar in the restaurant. I was assured that that was where we would be seated. We travelled from Stirling by train for the night out with my daughter. We duly arrived at the restaurant in good time for our 8pm booking. They told us at reception that our booking was next door in the cocktail bar, they took us through to a tiny small round table in the cocktail bar, complained and explained that I had called to ensure our reservation was for one of the high tables in the main restaurant bar as clarified by phone. The manager told me I was mistaken and my booking was for the cocktail bar. They openly lied in my face, they then presented the “menu” a small card bar menu with bar snacks on it, as if we would book this for a special occasion!! Needless to say I will never cross the threshold again and will make sure I shout it from the rooftops. I just cannot believe they would stand there and blatantly lie in your face and act as if we are stupid. If you ever get the chance to go to El Santo……DON’T
