Your local in the heart of the city. Tucked away just off Princes Street in amongst the boutiques of Rose Street you’ll find a modern Scottish bar with food and drinks that have been intimately created and served with pride.

Our food is of traditional Scottish heart with plenty of modern twists.

Come down and try our brand new brunch menu, available Saturday and Sunday 10am-12pm

Every month we give a craft Scottish distillery their time to shine with our In Gin Cocktail Menu.

Food was great although Yorkshire puddings had probably been sitting a bit too long. They let themselves down a bit with slow pudding service but they did apologize and gave us a free drink. Quiet sunday night i imagine but more boisterous Friday/ Saturday

Lovely food and staff very nice and attentive . My only concern is it was cold and I was glad of my jumper !

Had a stunning Sunday tea time meal at element last week . The food was amazing the service impeccable and the surrounding were lovely . Staff were very intensive but not in an intrusive way . We tried sone of their cocktails and they were just superb with them being delivered and advised what was actually in them . We will defo be back if in Edinburgh this is a must place visit fir a lovely meal and drinks

A lovely evening. Excellent service and standard of food. All hot and freshly cooked. Would recommend the sticky toffee pudding!

Staff friendly, especially the bar maid we made our cocktails. Food hot when served and was a generous portion.

There were five of us and overall the food was good. Two of us had Caesar salad with extra chicken. Unfortunately the chicken was very dry and hard and i'm assuming left over from somewhere or just left to cook and dry out. Whilst the salad was nice the added extra was not so reduced the overall enjoyment of the meal. Chicken should be moist, easy to cut and succulent - this was the opposite altogether. Apparently the Cullen skink, haggis lollipops and steak pie were very nice.

Had a lovely lunch here on Christmas Eve. We were looking for somewhere dog friendly and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming to us and our pooch. Super friendly staff who really went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Food was delicious and came very promptly. We both had the venison burger which was cooked perfectly and a lovely glass of Chardonnay. Would highly recommend.
