Quite disappointed, I was looking to have a good experience with a new place. Nice setting and live entertainment. ALTHOUGH the building isn't the right setting for the noise. I couldn't understand the singer and music was too loud. The food is average and over price.

I hope you take this review seriously. The food was worse than poor. Maybe the jollof rice was not the worst we've ever had but everything else was just horrible. The suya was dry, felt like we were eating paper. The pasta and chicken tasted like they were going bad the worst I've ever had in my whole life, the garlic bread was hard like crackers; couldn't eat it. Nothing was good. Maybe the chicken my friend took home because I haven't asked her yet. The drink was bleeehhhhh. The service was so slow and disorganized. What happened? I was at this restaurant sometime in April and had a nice time with a friend and that was why I brought another friend last night. The food was great and the team looked more organized and I gave a 5 star. But for last night, if I could give zero stars, I would. Do better please.

The food was served at inconsistent temperatures and the services was poor. The only good thing about the restaurant is the decor.

Haute cuisine for African and Caribbean food. Even if you are on the fence about trying it, I highly suggest you go for it. The food here is excellent, served hot and well seasoned. One thing that stood out to me the most was the food not tasting super salty or sugary, yet still being very flavourful, this brings a very authentic feeling and taste to the food. Being one of a kind, it’s important to support these types of restaurants breaking into this new frontier. Being able to experience a fusion of African and Caribbean food is an experience by itself, but Ellie’s adds the concept of formality and a high level of service for the complete experience. Unfortunately I was not able to come during one of the live music sessions, but I would believe that it would also enhance the experience. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Ellie’s, wether you are familiar with the food or completely new to it, the unique experience makes it that much better. 10/10

Great atmosphere and ambience! The decor is inviting. Amazing African food with a good selection. The service was good as well. Great place to chill with music and good food!

Amazing place. My wife and I went there for my birthday and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. I can’t have dairy so they made sure that everything that came to me was free from it. They even made a bespoke dessert for me, as virtually all desserts have dairy. Food was very good, especially the goat. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the food/drinks. Lovely fusion of dishes and flavours! There was live music the night we were there, so that is the only reason it was ‘loud’ as we were enjoying live music, so conversation isn’t happening easily during that time. On performers breaks, it is not an issue. There is a relaxed, casual vibe, with interaction between patrons and performers on the night we were there. I loved the decor and atmosphere. Just a couple of ‘kinks’ to work out yet with service, but we will definitely go back. Serving staff were attentive and friendly.
