Elm Street Taproom sits in the heart of Somerville’s Davis Square; we are walking distance of the Red Line, Somerville Theater, Tufts University, Davis Square Theater, The Rockwell and Porter Square.

This bar and restaurant blends the best of the modern craft beer movement with a familiar, vibrant, social atmosphere. A menu of small plates and shareable snacks incorporates locally sourced ingredients, with many vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Our friendly staff will make a memorable experience whether you join us for lunch, dinner or our highly anticipated weekend brunch.

We are the ideal location for hosting large groups or an intimate date night. Our bar offers a wide variety of craft beers from around the world, boasting 40 drafts, signature cocktails and a thoughtfully selected wine list.

Reservations are recommended; however, walk-ins are always welcome at this unique gathering space for locals and visitors alike.

Good did, very small menu. Appetizer did come out with our meal so that was discouraging.

I will not be returning to Elm St Tap Room. It's just not my scene. The noise level/music make it impossible to have a conversation! Service was OK. Food was OK. I asked our server for some bread or pita for my salad. He told me he didn't know if they even had bread. A little later another server brought us a plate of cold, stale crostini. I will give a 5 to the falafel I added to me salad.

I have eaten here a few times and remember the food being good, but it was really lackluster this time around. I will be sticking to drinks only here in the future.

made the reservation for a birthday celebration on the recommendation of the honorary On a Sunday evening it was very busy and we had reservations. We were greeted quickly both by host and server. Ths downsides were.: mid December by the windows seem like there was no heat on in the place. Many tables around us. People have their coats on. It was cool seating; replaced our order and on two occasions the waitress came back to tell us they were out of three of our meals and two of our sides. We plunged back in ordered new things and were served one of our sides before any other meal came by like 15 to 20 minutes.. when we did receive food, which wasn’t too long of a wait it was pretty good. The decor and atmosphere of the place were great. We did indicate it was a birthday, but there wasn’t any kind of special effort on the restaurants part.

The food and service was great! Amazing fried pickles!! It was kinda dark, as in we had to use our phone flashlights to read the menu dark. It was also loud. But overall my friends and I had a great time and we all enjoyed our meals, will definitely go back again.

We were a large party and the hostess and manger were so accommodating. Service was excellent - never without food or drinks. Would highly recommend!
