Born from a passion for authentic, honest cuisine, Embankment Kitchen embarked on a journey to really feed people. Rooted in the warm spirit of Northern hospitality, this is a neighbourhood kitchen where you can eat, drink, unwind, and truly feel at home. We believe in the power of good, solid, recognisable dishes and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Each dish is crafted with precision and a touch of refined elegance and always prepared from scratch, in-house. If it isn’t already obvious, we love what do, and we work hard to curate a menu of classics that have the power to make you want to order everything. Our laid-back space invited diners to share moments and create memories over plates of food designed to hit the spot, and celebrate the extraordinary found in the ordinary, one plate at a time.

The restaurant is beautiful however even though we booked a special set menu for New year’s Eve this was not available. There was no complimentary fizz on arrival and no mention of this plus the menu was different to online despite all this being on my booking. We had booked 2 courses for 31 or there was an option for 3 courses for 40 but we were told this was not the case resulting in a very pricey bill with added tax and service charge! All 3 Yorkshire puddings in each meal were burnt and not edible and the cocktails were soo strong we didn’t manage to finish them. Not very child friendly as they were reluctant to share the kids menu plus it is not visible online. Safe to say we won’t be dining here again.

The table booking was 10am. We were not seated until 10.15am & then waited until 11.10am for the food. The restaurant is clearly not able to cater for the number of guests wanting breakfast. Guests who has made reservations were being turned away for refunds at reception. The girl from Newcastle with the red hair was thoroughly lovely though & tried her best to appease for the fact that we had been waiting so long.

Excellent! Could not fault the food, service or the restaurant. Very attentive & responsive staff. Would highly recommend.

Food was nice however the service was poor due to not having enough staff. Waited ages to be seated and was very hard to get served once seated. We got sick of waiting for drinks so we just left. We went else where for breakfast the following day.

We visited on Christmas eve having been to the panto in Manchester with family and friends. The restaurant itself looked really welcoming and festive but unfortunately, from the moment we sat down we felt like more of an inconvenience to our waiter who clearly wasn't pleased at having to work on Xmas eve. We had to keep chasing our drinks which just appeared to be left hanging at the bar for ages. Not once did he ever come back with anything we asked for, in fact we thought his shift had ended until we asked another team member for the bill and he suddenly reappeared. Given it was Xmas eve we had hoped the service would have been a bit more cheerful and efficient. Unfortunately for us the service really let them down.

Had a lovely meal this evening prior to visiting the Arena to watch Peter Kay. Happy hour made the drinks reasonable. Excellent cocktails. Food fabulous and service. Had the festive menu and great value. Husband had beef and I had the fish both had crumble and custard for pudding. All lovely. Thanks.

It’s not my first time. The breakfast is Amazing, all fresh and hot, very tasty, well presented and plentiful. Excellent service, friendly staff, a very good experience. Thank you.

Fantastic experience service and food was superb. Definitely recommend and will be coming back on our next visit to Manchester.
