Since 2011, EMei has emerged as one of Philadelphia's premier dining destinations, celebrated for its authentic Chinese cuisine curated by Master Chef Zhao and a team of 6 wok chefs that born and trained in the Sichuan region of China.
Boasting over 50 years of expertise in mastering Sichuan cuisine, Chef Zhao skillfully infuses dishes with bold chili oils, aromatic peppercorns, and expertly seasoned cuts of fish, meat, and produce.
Situated conveniently in Chinatown, EMei diligently procures fresh ingredients daily. With a menu featuring 120 items, including house-made egg rolls and dumplings, we take pride in crafting everything in-house. This commitment not only ensures quality but also enables us to offer a wide selection of gluten-free and vegetarian options.

    Food has a lot of flavor. The vegetable fried rice was very tasty. Ordered the Farmhouse pork belly and it was good just a little too oily at the bottom of dish. Dumplings with a sweet/chili sauce were great! Overall, a good experience.

    I was certainly not truly impressed with this restaurant. I was hyped about going at first then my food experience was truly disappointing. It took I wrong dish to ruin the experience.

    Never go there again. Service was terrible and waiter forgot to serve 2 of our orders. What was served tasted terrible!

    This was our first visit to EMei, and without a doubt I. A say that this is the best Chinese food I have had in the city in a long time. The hot and sour soup was very spicy, which we like, and without the cornstarch consistency too often found at other restaurants. We enjoyed the spicy dumplings although the casing was a bit heavy/ thick. Singapore noodles was excellent. Service was pleasant and very quick. Overall, an excellent experience. Will definitely return!

    One order never arrived. We asked multiple times for the status of our order before finally we were asked if we wanted to cancel the order. Our other food was okay, but the service on this particular occasion did not make up for the taste of the food we had the chance to try.
