Situated in the heart of beautiful Carefree, Arizona, the English Rose Tea Room provides an exquisite “Afternoon Tea” experience. Try a scone with Devon Cream, or our Formal Afternoon Tea, or simply a delicious vegetarian quiche …there is something for every discerning tea lover’s palate. The interior of the Tea Room boasts sumptuous floral decor, bejeweled chairs and pink velvet banquette seating, crystal chandeliers and beautiful bone china tea sets. An extensive lunch menu, a beautifully appointed outdoor patio (with misters and/or heaters) and a gorgeous gift store, makes the English Rose Tea Room a “Must Do” when coming to Carefree, Arizona.

                                    We love going to this unique restaurant. A little piece of England in Carefree, Arizona!! Don’t forget to wear your hat to high tea! Many teas to pick from which compliment the lunch fare. The special quiche of the day was excellent it was stuffed with potatoes and bacon. Make a reservation for this popular restaurant.

                                    Would’ve given 4/5 stars but it was our first time there and we were seated at the worst table in the whole place. It was literally few steps away from the entrance, cash register, and hallway. Few people complained that they couldn’t walk by to their table because of the table we were sitting in. They should just get rid of that two person table. Not to mention we were trying to enjoy the experience and food but it was hard when there are people waiting next to you to be seated and people behind you waiting to pay. Was not comfortable at all! Mixed feelings about coming back. I mean it’s really really cute but my experience was not the best. I was disappointed and my daughter and I waited excitedly for this reservation. I’m sad. I really wanted to have a good experience. Not to mention we drive 45 min just to get there.

                                    We loved our entire experience at this tea room today! We celebrated a birthday and everyone that works here is incredibly sweet and attentive to their guests. The tea and food dishes/treats are delicious and it is overall just a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to go back!

                                    A lovely experience! Went with my husband and 2 young kids. We shared formal tea and the kids enjoyed nursery tea with the fruit and honey tea. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely! Thank you

                                    Such an amazing birthday experience! I would recommend to anyone - just be aware you need to make reservations to guarantee a spot because there are only so many tables. Don’t miss out on the fun hats either in the back room for dress up!

                                    I took my mom here for her birthday and it didn’t not disappoint. The service was great. The food was very good. The scones are incredible and you can smell them baking when you walk in. It is was a fantastic experience and extremely reasonably priced. We will be back again!

                                    I dined for two on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and there are seating options inside and outside. Although I was able to get a reservation that same day I would recommend making one in advance. There were a few groups turned away because the tables were full. The menu has both afternoon tea and lunch options both of which are on the pricier side. I chose the afternoon tea and left full. The food was delicious and there was a good selection of teas to choose from. This tea room is the perfect spot for small celebrations!
