Due to our small kitchen team and the nature of the restaurant we are unable to cater for personal preferences and alternative diets, i.e. Vegan, Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Keto etc.

The food at Essen was amazing. All dishes had full, wonderful flavours, clearly showing the chef knows what she’s doing. Service was knowledgable, attentive without being intrusive. That they are BYO is a real bonus, allowing you to bring something special (or not) to drink. Dining here was a delight and it’s a reason to go to Stanthorpe on its own. Loved it there

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish. Great value and service. I was especially grateful with how accommodating they were for us and our toddler. He had a great time and was happy to eat off our plate and chat to everyone around him. Thank you for a wonderful night! We will definitely be back!

As always, the standard of food and service was second to none :) The group of Japanese Food Influencers that accompanied us were absolutely impressed!

We visited Essen for our 49th anniversary. It never disappoints us. Great chef, great produce.

lovely food ,the most vibrant flavours i can ever remember tasting in a restaurant. only negative is the tables are bit too close together for my liking..

Essen is amazing This is our second time there and the food is always spectacular . This time we had a summer menu vs a heavier winter menu and was again perfect . I also have a special diet and this is always superbly catered for . ( gluten free ) Service is always prompt and with a smile . I would go to Essen if I lived there every time over the best restaurants in Brisbane as what you get for the $$ just can’t compare . Superb as always .
