Voted Best Italian Restaurant in Sacramento! Fabian's Italian Bistro serves locally sourced ingredients crafted into classic Italian dinners, lunches and brunches. On the weekend, you can enjoy brunch with classic eggs benedict, avocado toast or even the "chef's mess". At dinner or lunch service, take a peek at the special wine and cocktail menu, which is filled with both local and imported options.

Fabian’s Italian Bistro is worth checking out any day, but if you happen to be in the neighborhood on Tuesday or Wednesday, you’re in for a treat. Tasting Tuesday dinners include an ever-changing special tasting menu, where you can try smoked pork, scallops, pork tenderloin, polenta, squid ink spaghetti and more. Wednesdays at Fabian’s Italian Bistro feature select house favorite wines for half price, plus they allow you to bring your own bottle with no corkage.

Had the Sunday supper which was very good. Started with Caesar salad, followed by the Fettuccine colognes and the dessert

Once again a great dinner at Fabian's. Our server, Becky, was outstanding - attentive but not hoovering. The food was excellent. This is one of our favorite restaurants.

Once again Chef Carly and the staff have created an incredible dining experience. We frequent this restaurant and for many reasons. The ambiance, inside or outside, is comfortable and the lighting and setting is superb. The staff is on top of their game, you will never have an empty water glass, and it is clear they work together and you are never rushed. The menu is ever changing, and the fabulous flavors represent this. We are never disappointed at Fabian’s , it is our go to every time.

After dining at Fabian’s twenty or so times, with very good results, last night was extremely disappointing. We were completely ignored for over 15 minutes! Our server, whomever he or she was, did not so much as say hello. The restaurant might as well have yelled “get out! “ at my wife and I. We left and went to another restaurant close by and had both great service and food. We left our waitress a generous tip. We won’t be back to Fabian’s.

Service was disappointing! We have been here many times and had amazing service but this evening we rarely saw our server. Food was delivered by others and she popped in occasionally during gaps in our dishes. The chicken picatta was the most disappointing of all - small dried portions of chicken, not the scrumptious dish we'd enjoyed in previous dinners. We were going to order dessert and port but the length of time after our dinner dishes were finally cleared made us give up on our server and just decide to get the check so we could go home. Perhaps the staff -servers? kitchen? - were lacking because it was the day after Thanksgiving. We will try again Fabian's again, but not for a few months.

My favorite Italian restaurant! Actually, my favorite restaurant! Their salmon is cooked perfectly -- not all the way through, which is hard to find in local restaurants. So moist ( and I love sashimi, so you can image how wonderful it is to find a chef that knows how to cook their daily delivery of seafood), and delicately spiced, served on couscous and broccoli rabe that melts in your mouth. And the service -- ah, perfectly timed and served with a warm smile. Right on the spot when water needs replenished or a dessert needs to e ordered. Yep, it is the little things that count in this restaurant like the noise level is so low that you can have a conversation without raising your voice. I always have a hard time choosing among the desserts -- usually, the creme brulee wins my vote, but I am not fond of pumpkin, this winter season's choice flavor, so the Chocolate Nemesis flour-less cake has been winning lately, over the butterscotch richness of the Pot de Creme or the yummy goodness of the Pear Oil Cake (YES, I have had them all here). The Nemesis is close to fudge, and I am a chocoholic, so this is as close to bliss in texture and taste in a closing act to top off a meal. And if you are not into seafood, the braised short rib beef dinner entree served with veggies is hearty and filling with an amazing sauce. Some day I am going to order the Pork Belly, and I say this often, but so far I usually opt for the salmon.

Our regular date night spot. Its cozy in the winter and the garden seating is wonderful in the warmer months. The food is always on point.
