Our award winning head chef Francis Martinez executes a menu that honours local producers to deliver contemporary dishes with a soft french influence. From our celebrated sablefish to the finest local beef, from small delicious snacks to robust courses, we aim to create a special experience for every guest.

The attention to detail we seek starts with our local farmers and producers and transcends to our preparation and cooking styles. While we can completely understand the challenges on NYE, the entire experience was sadly missing the mark. Our service took over 2 hours and we often were served our courses waiting for our wine - glasses sitting empty for over 15min. Due to this, throughout the evening we were often beverage-less. While the food was beautiful presented and had all the right elements, it was sadly under seasoned and not served hot. We really wanted to love this place - the interior is beautifully curated and the food looked stunning. Even at the end of the evening when the restaurant was starting to empty, we waited over 15min to get served an espresso. I will say the highlight was the amazing hostess, who went out of her way to be helpful and kind.

Made a reservation for NYE dinner for four. There was a set menu and a very limited open menu. The food was very good and service was excellent Our server was helpful and genuinely friendly and personable. Of course it was super busy because of the time of year, but our overall experience was still wonderful. Would like to return to enjoy the regular menu, which was what I was looking forward to originally.

We pre-booked the New Years Eve package. This was my second time at this restaurant, the first time was incredible, this time much was left to desire. Unfortunately it seem the restaurant staff were overwhelmed by both tables and a wedding upstairs. Service was slow, our first course arrived before our cocktails. My first and second course were barely warm, and not to the standard I expected from Fine Print. Dessert was mediocre as well. I will likely give the restaurant another chance, however will avoid special events.

Wonderful experience this evening! We started with cocktails - all with interesting names and interesting flavours. The newspaper garnish was so fun! We enjoyed the oysters - so fresh and flavourful - and the whipped brie to start. We ordered mussels, lobster risotto, short rib and chicken supreme as our mains. All very different, but delicious! Seasoned and cooked to perfection. We finished with dessert and the bartender indulged me with a blueberry tea. We will be back and would not hesitate to recommend to our friends. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I have come here for my birthday 2 years in a row now. Fineprint has been my favourite restaurant in Calgary for a while. My husband even brings clients there regularly. With the amazing food and service we’ve had in the past, it was an obvious choice to have my birthday here again. Unfortunately, things have changed quite a bit at FinePrint. Our waitress was polite enough but didn’t really care about our experience. Our steak was very burnt. We’ve had this steak before but she tried to assure us that it was normal. We didn’t eat it and was hoping they would take it off the bill but they didn’t. In the past , my birthday and other occasions at FinePrint have been phenomenal so tonight was just an absolutely crushing disappointment. I was so excited for another amazing birthday experience but was disheartened by the indifferent service. We have chosen not to host our next business dinner with FinePrint due to the severe lack of service and attention to detail we have come accustom too in the past. Such a shame so much has changed since our last visit. We ended up at Nopu to make up for my severely underwhelming birthday dinner and it was marvellous. Saved our night completely.

Managed to get a last minute booking here and I’m so glad we did. The cocktails were incredibly unique and unlike every other restaurant in Calgary, so tasty and well balanced. Had the tomahawk steak for 4 people and ended up needing boxes, incredible value for money with that item! The Josper roast on the steak was an excellent touch. Our server Julia was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy or distracting. The music they had playing in there was SO fun and brought the mood up for us, helping us keep the energy flowing with our conversations. The service, food and drinks were all so perfectly timed, I’m massively impressed. Thank you so much to the team at FinePrint, you guys have very quickly become my go to place for a night out 💖
