You won't find a neighborhood restaurant anywhere close to Greenville doing what chef Shawn Kelly set out to do: provide both neighbors and visitors alike the Upstate's freshest and most plentiful meats, produce, and products, both as a dine-in and carryout option.

This concept supports the idea that farmers and chefs can make a living supplying a community with its daily necessities, while also encouraging enjoyment of a simple meal of a sandwich or steak, chop, or bake.

Just imagine: Wednesdays become your favorite lunch day of fresh and locally-sourced soups and salads with a friend. Then you get a favorite bottle of wine to bring home, coupled with carefully chosen side dishes and the best burgers and fresh Carolina seafood in Greenville to throw on the grill. Overall really good experience. We got there at 7pm for a 7pm reservation. Got seated at 7:10. Had the half chicken and it was really good.

We have been here many many times and it never disappoints! We started with the fried oysters and cucumber salad. Salad was a fresh take on a lettuce salad. Very good! Oysters were phenomenal!! Served with a dipping sauce and sliced pickles and the combo just worked beautifully!! For dinner….I had the salmon and caprese salad and my husband had the pork tenderloin with collard greens and fingerling potatoes. Finished with Peach cobbler with ice cream and raspberry sauce... Everything was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! Ate as much as we could and brought the rest home. Our server Emma was amazing…. She was attentive and knowledgeable and even checked with the chef about a request I had. She knew the menu inside and out. Will definitely request her table when we go again !!

As always, this restaurant pleases. Excellent food (with one exception), great drinks and wonderful service. We brought guests here from Charleston and they loved everything but the octopus. Our waiter was on top of his game, the noise level was lively - but fun - and the daily selections were outstanding. We'll come again and again.

My wife and I moved to GVL only a few months ago from Chicago. We've now decided, since eating here 4 times, that Fork and Plough is our favorite restaurant in GVL. Wonderful food with changing menus, outstanding service with knowledgeable servers/bartenders who are cheerful and love their work, and a great wine, beer coctail selection. We'll most certainly be back on a regular basis despite the fact that the location is on the far end of our our range!

NOISE created a horrible experience. We will never return. Food preparation, taste, and presentation was impeccable - absolutely perfect. Could hardly place our order, near ZERO conversation, except "This food is superior, BUT cannot be enjoyed during this train wreck of noise, The hostess failed to seat us in the area requested, outside, which as we were leaving, noted that it was quieter, but not to worry, we will never return - there are many with far superior noise level. The quality of food may merit a "to go order", but we prefer the "Dining experience". Acoustical wall paper/dressing OR dropped acoustical tile ceiling, or even carpet on floor would catapult the restaurant into the real world of dining!! Best of luck in the future.

The sweet tea with a fresh, crisp lemon wedge was so good! I am funny about ordering tea places and this sweet tea was so refreshing! The Brussels sprouts appetizer was amazing!!

Sunday brunch menu offers lots of delicious options. For our group of 8, shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles were favorites. I enjoyed the Caprese Omelet - light and summery. Cheese grits are always a favorite. The peach salad with watermelon and arugula was a good share. Service was excellent and timely. Thanks to Julia and the kitchen.

Excellent menu choices. Enjoyed Brussels sprouts and bread with honey butter for appetizers - delicious!! Tried the ribeye for my entree; it was cooked perfectly and a wonderful flavor.
