Welcome to Freak Scene.

Scott Hallsworth was head chef of Nobu in Park Lane, London for six years. He opened Nobu Melbourne in his native Australia before returning to London to create Kurobuta, the Japanese Izakaya.

The Freak Scene is coming soon.

The original Freak Scene pop-up popped up in Farringdon, EC1M.

The Freak Scene then found a pre-Covid permanent home in Soho, W1D.

The Freak Scene 3.0 is coming back to London - opening in March 2023 at 28 Parsons Green Lane, Fulham, SW6 4HS

Great food, great atmosphere. I’m a sucker for Asian food and Scott the chef director looked after us amazingly well. Get the pork belly wrapped in lettuce!

*Owner/Chef incredibly rude - called us uncultured and 'cun7s' multiple times for sending back raw bird dish* We sent back the quail the first time because it was raw (not rare) which was met by the chef calling across the restaurant to us that we were 'uncultured' as Quail is served rare. If the dish was going to be rare then the menu didnt say so and as mentioned the Quail was raw (blood still there). He then begrudingly cooked a new bird that arrived equally raw, not rare. Sending it back a second time was met with multiple swear words from the chef. This culminated in the Owner come Chef resolving the situation by repeating 'call me a cun7 then leave' when all we asked was that it was taken of the bill.

Great food and vibes, Scott and his team create the right atmosphere for a night out, and love that it turns into a bar after kitchen hours. Had a great time and will return.
