                            When we arrived at our designated reservation time, there was no one there to greet us. When we finally flagged down the bartender, she admitted to us that the table had been set for us but there was no one to serve us. I understand if their wait staff had an emergency, but I would have preferred for them to cancel the reservation with apologies.

                            Great experience. Jose (server) was great. Good cocktails. Gluten Free foods marked on menu. Food was good. Oddly very quiet. Hotel restaurant. Surprised it was so empty.

                            Monica provided outstanding service during our visit to Fred and Stilla. She was kind, helpful, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. The food was delicious, and her recommendations were spot on. Her warm attitude and attention to detail made our experience even better. If you’re dining here, ask for Monica—she’s fantastic!

                            The restaurant bills itself as a really nice downtown DC restaurant with a snazzy website. We had a business dinner booked there, but no one told us there would be a DJ with EDM beats pumping through the entire restaurant that evening. Truly awful. The food was fine, it was as expected. The service was rough; our server disappeared when our group was trying to pay the check and escape it all. Also, I tried really hard to figure out their phone number. I even sent them an email to ask so I could call and confirm, but it's actually impossible to find it. When you call the number on their OpenTable confirmation email, it goes to a Marriott and the people there have never heard of the restaurant. I still don't know what their phone number is, even after asking in an email. My organization will not be returning and I don't recommend for a professional or fancy or date night dinner. Might be good for going out or partying on a weekend night?

                            Tried Fred and Stilla as part of Restaurant Week. Although it is in a hotel, the menu seemed to be innovative. Well, it’s a hotel restaurant. Muted flavors, mushy vegetables. The space is attractive and tables are adequately spaced to allow conversation. Service was pleasant and prompt. Fine if you’re staying at the hotel, but not a “destination” restaurant.
