The menu––created by Gatlin, Gatlin BBQ Executive Chef Michelle Wallace, and Fins & Feathers’ Chef de Cuisine Darius King––is a mouthwatering testament to traditional Southern fare’s modern inclusiveness. The expansive list of starters is sure to set the tone with Chargrilled Oysters to New Orleans BBQ Shrimp or try the Not My Momma’s Biscuits with seasonal jams. The Clucker is Gatlin’s spin on a charcuterie board. Their menu also includes head-turning soups and salads, showstopping Sandos, and an extensive list of entrees from fried chicken to catfish, all promising generous plates of nostalgia. It is the New South, in full possession of its delicious diversity.

    My second time coming. This time I brought others with me. Although we had a reservation there were two big parties and some folks at the tables that weren’t with the parties wouldn’t get up after eating. Other than that everything was exceptional. Literally every single thing.

    First visit here and we LOVED it! Everything was so flavorful. The service was attentive but relaxed. Had the chargrilled oysters, blackened catfish, red snapper, and biscuits. OMG- we were so impressed. We cannot wait to go back.

    The food was absolutely amazing. Everything we tried was great and we could not figure out what we liked the best. Laurie was our server and she was very friendly and very knowledgeable about what to try. We are definitely going back.

    We were visiting Houston for the weekend. On Sunday we went for brunch and this place did not disappoint. Reservations are suggested because it's very popular. The service was top notch! The food was amazing. Top quality food made with care and passion. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant. Don't leave Houston without eating here, you will regret it!!!

    We make it 5-10 minutes early for the reservation. We was seated immediately, the hostest was on top of things. It took about 10 minutes for the waitress to been us water. She forgot my friends Mimosa, so we had to remind her. We ordered and then waited and waited. By 1:10 I ask how much longer for our food. The waitress said there was 4-5 tables still in front of us. That was it for us, unfortunately we left! Hopefully, I will give them another try.

    Best Fried Chicken you will ever have!!! Love how this feels like you are eating at your Grandmother's house. They have amazing staff that make you feel like you are part of the family. We have never had a bad meal here and I was so excited to finally take my Dad here for the Fried Chicken. Make sure you have the biscuit appetizer with the Bacon Jam. Thanks again Gatlin family and may God continue to bless your business for decades to come! Beth Calderon

    Quaint spot with excellent customer service. Gumbo was average. Campechana was delicious. Mahi Mahi tasted fishy but risotto was good. Fried catfish and chicken were okay. Grilled catfish with beurre rouge was ok.

    Food was good & seasoned well. The staff was very helpful & friendly. From the server Anthony knowledge & suggestions of food to the bus person Paige getting things for us with a smile.

    Love this place. Great southern comfort food, friendly staff, cool joint! Perfect for lunch, have not been back for dinner yet, but it is in the plans.
