Gatsby is a reimagined American diner by KNEAD Hospitality + Design. With favorites like the famous monte cristo sandwich, fried chicken or today's blue plate special, Gatsby brings you back to the days of the diner, but from a fresh perspective. Whether you crave breakfast at any time of day or a smashburger & a milkshake, Gatsby is the perfect place. Located at the corner of Half and N Streets, directly in front of Nats Park's Centerfield Gate, and overlooking the ballpark from our second floor dining room, Gatsby is the perfect pre/post game venue from which to celebrate.

Sadly they ran out of a lot of the popular food items during brunch. We opted for the bottomless option, however we could barely find the server to place our orders. It would take 15/20 minutes before the server returned to the table. So ultimately we did not receive the full value. We literally had to wave down a manager to receive service. The server wasn’t too friendly, and I never received one of the items that I ordered. Ultimately not a great experience for me.

We had a great time at Gatsby. We made a reservation and were sat about 10 mins after our scheduled time. Our server was great, she was friendly and attentive. The food was really good and quick to come out. The women’s bathroom was gross and smelled awful- that was truly the only downside.

We enjoyed brunch with a group of adults and kids split across two tables when we were in town for a volleyball tournament. There is a view of the nationals stadium, bottomless cocktails, great service and delicious food. Highly recommend!

The waiter was so sweet. She was attentive and kind. I wanted a steak but they were out and she recommended the meatloaf which was fantastic. The atmosphere was amazing

I selected Gatsby's for my birthday brunch and requested an upstairs table in my reservation notes. However, we were seated downstairs. When I politely inquired about moving upstairs, the hostess said that no one was seated upstairs, which was untrue. Shortly afterward, I observed guests being seated upstairs. When I spoke with a gentleman, he explained that upstairs tables were reserved—which I had already done—and that our seating was determined by the waitstaff's rotation. I found this explanation unsatisfactory and felt that I was dismissed and misled.

This place has unfortunately gone way down hill. Food was mediocre. Service was all but nonexistent , maybe due ti staffing? Drinks weren’t good. Will say the manager agreed and comped the drink so that was nice. We loved this place when we lived in navy yard a couple of years ago. Will not be returning

Server was too pleasant. I usually love coming here for a quick breakfast but I was disappointed but my expectations are always high. I expect Gatsby to do better!
