Gauchos are the cowboys of South America – a national symbol of pride and tradition. The residents of Rio Grande do Sul, a Brazilian state, are affectionately referred to as “Gauchos”. This state, renowned for its unique churrasco barbecue, is the birthplace of Chef Edmilson Rodrigues. It is there, in Brazil’s top barbecue houses, that Ede learned and perfected his craft.
Feel transported as ancient Brazilian traditions come alive in our churrascaria –our house of barbecue– and special place that bursts with authentic South American atmosphere and charm.

    Went for Valentine’s Day with my lady and it was such a great time from the food to the staff everything was awesome would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I will be coming back again!!

    Best Brazilian BBQ in the city by a wide margin! Perfect spot for Valentine’s Day! Food and service was phenomenal! Ambiance was excellent — a nice business casual atmosphere and felt very cozy! Definitely coming back!

    Food was fantastic. Our waitress was amazing, I wish I could remember her name because she was so outstanding. We ate until our belly's could not take any more!

    We've always loved this place, being one of the two seriously good churrasco-style restaurants here in Calgary. (There are others, but I think they're hard to take too seriously). Gaucho moved a couple of years ago to a new location on McLeod and Southland, and we'd not gone since then. Nothing says Happy Valentines like roasted meat in huge quantities, so we decided to give them a try. Well, something's definitely changed besides the venue. If anything (and I don't know how they did it), the food, service, ambiance are all markedly better than they were before; I think the word "spectacular" wouldn't be putting it too strongly! Absolutely everything was perfect. We'll definitely have to try "the other place" to compare, but I don't see how they could possibly top our Valentine's Day experience at Gaucho. Top marks to them!

    We really loved the food, and the staff was very nice. It was our first time, and did not disappoint. I would highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back!

    Our rodizio style Brazilian barbecue chow down at Gauchos was birthday related, and we certainly didn’t leave hungry or in any way disappointed with the experience. Quite the opposite. Good thing our reservation for five persons on a Saturday afternoon was for 4:00 PM though, as the restaurant got really busy by the time we were all in a food coma.

    Service was fantastic, meats came around so fast, side dishes were great, but the star was the meats, everyone we tried was outstanding. This is definitely the best Brazilian BBQ in the city
