Geppetto is located within The Lexington, at Cambridge Crossing.

Drawing from his love of Northern Italian food, Chef Gilson will bring the flavors and feasts from Italy to our modern, dinner only restaurant. Ingredients of the dishes will highlight the farms, fishers, and foragers of New England. Guests can dine on composed platters of cheese, cured meats, and small bites to start their meal. Housemade pastas, local seafood, and fresh butchered meats will be the highlight of an evening at Geppetto - all concluded by desserts from one of the city’s leading pastry chefs, Brian Mercury.

    We were there for my birthday dinner and we had Brian as our server. He made the night relaxing and perfect. It was the perfect night. Thank you.

    Our server was incredible and very understanding/accommodating of our toddler. We did order a vegetarian starter and it arrived with shrimp in it, possibly left over from the fryer? We're vegetarian, so that was disturbing. The server very kindly provided us with other starter options on the house.

    My husband and I had a lovely dinner at Gepetto the other night. The ambience was so perfect, very intimate and romantic, perfect for date night. Our server Brian was fantastic! I was very unfamiliar with most of the wines offered by the glass, but he walked us through the menu and helped us make our selection. He was very patient and knowledgeable, and the wine he ultimately recommended was delicious! Our food was divine, we had the fried mozzarella to start, my husband had the lobster pasta and I had the pumpkin & sage pasta, both were fantastic. The miso banana bread gelato for dessert was the perfect end to our perfect evening. We will definitely be back again!!

    The food here is outstanding. We really loved the squash blossoms and porcini lasagna. The bolognese was delicious too. The service is really mediocre and detracted from the food. It’s well staffed and everyone is pleasant but they seem to have multiple servers handling the same table. We asked who was ostensibly our server for the check and another server brought it 15 min later. The appetizer was served but no one came back to take our entree order. I had to flag down someone else to take it and there was a 30 min lag between app and entree. Bussing was sporadic. One dish would be taken but the others would be left. Food was great. I’ll order take out next time.

    food took 40 minutes to come out, both pasta dishes were under cooked, and the service was very inattentive.

    This was our first time dining at Geppetto and we were excited to try it as we’d walked by many times and seen them making fresh pasta. Unfortunately our experience did not live up to our expectations. First the bathrooms — unkept at best which was not a good start. Second the service — it was okay but a beat off. Third the Focaccia — great bread which was ruined by grilling it. The grilling resulted in a burnt flavor that masked the delicate flavor of the bread as well as the lovely bean dip served with it. Finally the main course which was far more enjoyable — we both ordered the bolognese and the pasta itself was exceptional. The sauce too was very good but be prepared as it is very Thyme and Rosemary forward which could be off putting to some and honestly should be toned down. I’ll also offer a smaller issue — the menu on the website was not the same as what were offered in the restaurant and did not have the steak, pork chop, or sea bass (among other things) we had planned to order. This is an easy fix and should be addressed. We will likely not be returning which is unfortunate as we live in the neighborhood and had hoped this might be a “go to” place for date nights.

    This is such a cute restaurant! The food was fantastic and the service was very attentive. Lots of good gluten free options.

    Generally, the food is well prepared. Not especially inventive, but the quality is good. The service was good if a little bit, overly attentive at odd moments and not attentive when it should’ve been the restaurant gets loud.

    We each had selections from the menu and shared the dishes with each other. They were all delicious, although if I were to go back soon I’d definitely have the blossoms, the caponata with Buffalo mozzarella and the scallops. No room for dessert!
