we were very very happy. I had the 16oz ribeye and my wife had the filet. The baked potato, French fries, prawn cocktail, Parkerhouse rolls and green salad were all great. They even surprised me with 3 scoops of passion fruit sorbet with a candle.. a signed card from all the employees and a small horseshoe for good luck through the year... a plus was that Jason came over, talked to us, not just checking on the food, but in a real personal way making us feel like family, like we had been there before, which we hadn't. My only complaint, and not sure if that is even the word, is with the baked potato. Cheese, and stuff on top, but once you ate that, the rest of the potato was just that, a potato. It needed more "stuff" bringing extra butter or sour cream would be a plus. But that is just nitpicking. Overall it was awesome. We will be back. Chuck & Kajira

Thick cuts of ribeye and filet mignon; perfectly prepared if you desire medium rare, Which I do. Love the option to try different sauces and salts. friendly and attentive, waitstaff.

Great ambiance, great service. Food ok but not what you'd expect at the price. Ribeye had some very chewy parts, my A5 Waygu very tasty but more fat than I would expect. We don't do cocktails but made an exception and had a very nice Whiskey Sour. Nice caramel bread pudding. For me, the best part of dining at Goodnight's is that when you sit in one of their high backed booths, you can have a normal conversation, perfect acoustic control, kind of like you're the only two people in the restaurant even when it's very busy, which is was last night.

We keep trying this place thinking they will improve but the chef doesn’t have the mastery to properly cook the steaks. $90 Wagyu to have one raw in the middle and the other over cooked. It’s the one thing they should be able to get right.

We are so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the preparation of our certified A5 Wagyu steak that so many other guests have enjoyed, returned to enjoy and left very favorable reviews. We strive each and every night to create a great experience for our guests. At anytime there is an opportunity for improvement that the guest brings to our attention, we address it immediately. We were unaware of circumstances during your dinner as we checked on your enjoyment throughout the evening and nothing was brought to our attention. The idea of a relatively new steakhouse brought six of us together for a holiday meal here. Bad news first. It was really empty and the vibe is confusing. Booths by the bathrooms and elevator in the middle of the building. Crowded tables small chairs and yet an attempt to have a steakhouse air just didn’t jive. Service was adequate but if they’re trying to be a high end steakhouse (as the prices indicate) more is needed in terms of service e and ambiance. Be sure to ask explain or have explained clearly how you want your step prepared. It took some inquiry to get it right and our server was unclear. Juts needs some training. On the other hand if they are trying to be a modern casual but expensive place then they need to lean into that vide. T They haven’t defined themselves which makes for a clunky experience and really risks their future. Good news Food (appetizers, sides, mains, desserts) and drinks were great and we enjoyed having the entire place virtually to ourselves. The building is beautiful and can be so good. We would go one more time in hope it will be more on point or at least have a point.

As far as the physicality of the restaurant, we have done our very best within the confides and restrictions of a small historic building.
