Rental skates are included, or you can bring your own, but recreational shoes are not permitted.  Price includes skate rental and skating for one hour. The earliest reservation we could get was 7:30pm. Brought our two kids 4 and 8 years old. Spent $168 to get in and was completely let down. Only 3 stops for trick or treating so each kid got 3 pieces of candy. An average pizza was $27 and a burger was $21. We were expecting a spooktacular experience but it was a major let down. Our kids got all dressed up and were ready for some good Halloween excitement. We love the Fairmont and the Christmas celebration but this was very different. Many others that were leaving when we arrived had bags filled with candy. I'm thinking at our 7:30pm times slot, many of the activities and trick or treat stations were already closed. The kids were very disappointed and wanted to leave after 30 minutes. Again, not what I would expect from the Fairmont Del Mar. Honestly should have been free to get in since we still payed $160 for food and 2 drinks, then another $12 for parking and $5 tip. More a place to pop in, take a couple photos and leave.

What an amazing way to enjoy Halloween with the family! Perfect beautiful setting! We had a blast. The only thing that was a bummer is the food and drink orders took over an hour, so I wouldn’t recommend coming hungry.

We had a nice time but there could have been more trick or treat stations and more activities for the kids. The costume contest and dance performance advertised did not happen to my knowledge! We left after 8pm.

Beautiful venue great entertainment unfortunately the Service below average for the Havana Nights event my husband got his meal first then mine came 30 minutes later hopefully next year if this event happens they take the time to train there staff.

The “Grand Social” is one of the best kept secrets of San Diego. The expansive outdoor setting features private cabanas, individual fire pits and scattered tables where friends and families can gather in an informal setting and enjoy each other, an interesting menu and excellent live music. A great way to spend an evening!

Good concept for a different experience for the holidays. Not great on the overall execution. They need to work out the set-up, e.g. have enough service people to get people seated, light fire pit, bring the food. Probably not worth the additional charge to sit by a fire pit to have dinner, but everyone was giving a good effort given a more challenging set up.

I was kinda bummed. The cabana was over priced. $175 for nothing special. Service was awkward + inattentive. Food was nothing special. The cabana was very cold + the fire pit was finicky. I wouldn’t recommend joining a cabana. Not worth it.

The ambience was pretty laid back. I think the cabana chairs/couches could use some love as they kind of smelled of sweat and mildew. We purchased a VIP package that includes glice skating but unfortunately weren’t able to do that. It wasn’t relayed to us that it ends at 9pm (we asked for skates at 8:30) and we’re denied. Our fire place burned out an hour in and it took almost an hour to replace it. We ended up moving to another table just to keep warm and ended up leaving the cabana we paid for.
