Owned and operated by husband and wife, Chef Joel and Lani Gargano, coupled with warm and knowledgeable hospitality and a creative and experience kitchen team with Grano Arso is the neighborhood go-to eatery for wholesome cooking, Italian wine, local beers, and specialty cocktails. ***Please note for large parties of 6 and more there is a service charge of 22%. There is a prix fixe menu requirement for parties of 7 to 12 with a service charge of 22% and 50% deposit. Guests will need to have the restaurant book large parties and will not be able to do so on Opentable.***

    We enjoyed the Feast of the seven fishes very much! The food as outstanding and the wine pairings were perfect. We were taken care of expertly. Highly recommend!!!

    The food was absolutely wonderful - bolognese and shrimp special, as well as our starter salad and calamari. Drinks also outstanding, as was the service. The only disappointment was that we were seated in the back room, which is rather stark, and next to a very loud table. We will definitely return, but request a table in the main room.

    Great food and drinks and a great value. We went on a Tuesday night, which will a little quieter and was a nice atmosphere. The entire downtown has a great atmosphere, with plenty of stores to browse before dinner, and pubs for an after dinner drink, if desired. The menu is somewhat limited, but there are still plenty of choices for fantastic food. My wife and I each chose one of the pasta dishes, and they did not disappoint. The cocktail and wine selection was amazing. This is one of our favorite restaurants and is a 45 minute drive for us, but is definitely worth it.

    We make dinner here with friends, an annual tradition. We always enjoy it and have not been disappointed yet! Food was delicious, great service, and it was pretty quiet tonight, which only enhanced the experience. Already looking forward to next year!

    Delicious!! Service was great. Cocktails were amazing. The food was excellent. Definitely get the eggplant appetizer. The pastas were all great. Restaurant was decorated for the holidays and was so quaint, as is the town of Chester.

    Great food in a very pleasant setting! Service excellent…… just a good experience from start to finish…..parking near the restaurant can be an issue but Chester downtown is very walkable
