    Halani used to be reliable for good food despite the spotty service and chaotic atmosphere but sadly even the food no longer measures up. The very pricy Mediterranean menu was not well-executed with dry, over-cooked kebabs and salad that was not as described in the menu. At least on our most recent visit our busboy was awesome! Our server needs training but he was friendly and very responsive to our issues with the food. Food was very slow coming from the kitchen and a simple appetizer and entree dinner turned out to be almost a 2 hour ordeal while children were running/screaming through the restaurant as their parents ignored them. The neighboring table also had complaints about the food not being as described in the menu.

    I was hoping for fabulous and got a beautiful setting with good food and poor service. Waitress, after keeping us seated for over 15 minutes, said she’d be right back to take our drink order only to stay away another 10. The restaurant had one other table occupied. Throughout dinner she made several additional mistakes so if she’s new, she needs a lot more training and supervision. The menu was interesting and everyone was satisfied with their order but only those with bronzino gave high marks.

    The steak kebabs were overdone and chicken kebobs were not tender.  balloon bread was very good.  the setting is beautiful and relaxing.  we also had the potatoes and broccolini both were seasoned very well.  we really did not appreciate the feral cats roaming around and brushing our feet, licking toes.

    Wait staff was beyond friendly and welcoming. Food was the usual 5-star we've come to expect and experience at this resort. Live music was a nice volume and the musical super talented and kind. Hope to return again.

    This was our first visit to Hālani and it did not disappoint! This was a new menu apparently and it’s very Mediterranean and it is delicious!!! Great ambiance. Ryan was our server and he was just wonderful! We had the kabobs, the watermelon app, the baba ganoush app and the wagu skirt streak. All of them were amazing !

    Had been going to eat at Mauna Lani hotel for decades. Just ate at the Canoe House last week and it was incredible. Tried this new restaurant for us. Service was meh! Waited for things and some took more than 15 min. to arrive. When the food came one really wasn’t done and kabobs we ordered were burnt. So not satisfied. Decor was beautiful. Probably will never go back there.

    We’ve been coming to the Halani for several years and the ambience has always been amazing. The chef has really improved the quality and selection of food, with many reasonably priced items. They also have an excellent list of wines by the glass, with a focus on French and other European wines.
