Hana Japan Steakhouse specializes in teppanyaki-style recipes. The menu features grilled seafood items as well as options for landlovers. Try the Hibachi Salmon for a tasty dinner, the popular New York Steak or our newly added House Dry Aged Rib-Eye. Dinner items are served with a salad featuring our special organic Hana dressing, house soup, steamed rice and seasonal vegetables. Hana Japan’s menu also serves gluten-free options, vegan fare as well as a kid-friendly dishes.

Serving the San Francisco Bay area since 1979, Hana Japan draws a local regular crowd and proudly serve during dinner hours. Diners get to enjoy special discounts on their birthdays when they visit with parties of four or more. We are now open for dinner seven days a week. Reservations are Highly Recommended.

Classic Hibachi. For parties of 10 or more, we offer a unique hibachi pre-fixe menu: a multi-course, teppanyaki experience which will include house soup and house salad for all guests--a full entree per guest that includes--fresh seasonal vegetables--vegetable fried rice--and all guests will enjoy the following: (a) USDA choice New York steak, (b) white shrimp, (c) white meat chicken, and (d) salmon filet. This menu price does not include the large party 20% service fee, tax, appetizers, dessert, or beverages, and the entire party must be included. Payment due at restaurant, one check. Where possible, we will accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, and of course, you are welcome to add on extra hibachi items from our regular menu.

Premiere Hibachi Menu. For parties of 10 or more, this is the premiere hibachi pre-fixe menu: a multi-course, teppanyaki experience which all guests will enjoy our house soup and house salad, a full entree per guest that includes fresh seasonal vegetables, garlic fried rice or chicken fried rice or shrimp fried rice, and USDA Choice House Aged Ribeye, Filet Mignon, White Shrimp, and Cold Water Lobster Tail. This menu is priced at $69.50 per person (not including 20% service fee, tax, appetizer, dessert, or beverages) and the entire party must be included. Payment due at the restaurant. Where possible, we will accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, and of course, you are welcome to add on extra hibachi items from our regular menu.

We had so much fun watching our chef prepare our steaks, seafood, veggies & fried rice on our teppanyaki table! Great food & service!

The food is always good, but your experience really depends on who you go with. When I bring the whole family and we fill the table its more fun. This visit, it was just the two of us and we were seated with another family already enjoying thier salads. The entire time we felt like we were intruding on "their" party. We said hello as we sat down, but they ignored us the entire time and their children were scowling at us. I don't know if we will come back as just a party of two any more?

It’s our family tradition to go here for any family members bday. When we have a group 8-10, we can just reserve on open table for 8 and just all squeeze in for a private table. We miss the days when they gave a free t shirt for bday person, but I love that they still give a free bday meal and pineapple wedge with candle for the bday. Always friendly and food is good.

I believe the manager of the place (I heard he was the son of the owner) was stressing us out!! I felt BAD for the bartender…this manager guy was in his way! He couldn’t get his drinks made b/c manager guy was in the way!!! We couldn’t ask the bartender a question without him butting in. He came to our table cleaning up things that weren’t done. He was ANNOYING and if I go back and he’s in there, I’m walking out. He needs to relax and allow people to enjoy their experience. Also, the bartender was hired for a reason…ALLOW HIM TO DO HIS JOB!!! He single handedly ruined our experience!

Haba Japan delivers a consistent experience. The chef was entertaining. The food was excellent. The chicken was very tender. We enjoyed watching the food being cooked before us. Tables sit 8 but we were seated in a manner that allowed us to converse with the people in our group. Lots of birthdays were being celebrated last night so it was loud. The birthday celebrant received a pineapple dessert. Plenty of parking in the strip center. Not a fancy place but the food and service se excellent. Good value.
