Welcome to Newcastle, where the old (castle) meets the new! Hard Rock Cafe is coming at you live from Newcastle, with a new layout paying tribute to the past by keeping in line with the former grandeur and arches. Phase one of our grand design includes a cafe with room for 170 of your closest friends, with 60 of those lucky pals getting to sit on a raised mezzanine floor overlooking the river. We’ve also included 16 external seats to enjoy Hard Rock in the sun. Our Cafe brings a touch of history and class to any meal. Featuring classic American fare with that signature Hard Rock twist, Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle delivers satisfaction in every bite. Waited a long time for food, was tasteless and over priced, will not be coming again as it was a bad experience

Booked on the 30th October for 31st December at 5:30pm then received an email on the 30th December to say they needed the table back for 7pm for a ticketed event. Not wanting to eat and go I requested they changed my booking to 5pm which they did. It wasn’t very busy but service was very slow. We ordered a combo starter which was ok but when the mains arrived it was another story. One meal was completely cold and got sent back, the fajita skillet looked paltry and the wraps slightly crispy round the edges. The other two meals were nothing to write home about. When the meal that was cold came back to the table you could tell the burger had been put in the microwave as he burnt his tongue. We shared 2 desserts one being on recommendation from the waitress which was awful. The other one we had requested just to be slightly warmed which they did but so much cream was put on top to make it look more than it was. All in all, after the combo starter we didn’t really eat much. The bill came to £207. Before I’d even thought of paying they gave me a revised bill of £188 to compensate for the cold meal. That was gracious of them but I feel we were let down. The lovely couple on a table next to us had a similar experience and I imagine they don’t get out much with having a young child so for us all it was supposed to be a nice meal out which left us very disappointed so I doubt I’d return. I’ve eaten in many Hard Rock restaurants around the world and this is by far the worst.

We had an excellent meal with our friends whom we meet every New Year in Newcastle. The Newcastle people are very friendly and we will be back. Many thanks Hard Rock Cafe.

Enjoyed the ambience at Hard Rock Cafe, the portions are pretty huge but it's ok as you can take it home with you. Very good and friendly service.

We visited the Hard Rock Cafe for my son’s 9th birthday. He ordered a kid’s Messi Burger Meal which said on the menu that it came with a golden ball. The meal arrived but the golden ball didn’t. When the server came back I asked him for the golden ball and he told me that the menus were old and that the golden balls were no longer available. I was disappointed that wasn’t communicated at the point of ordering. The kids Messi meals are more expensive than the other kids meals and my son was disappointed not to get the golden ball that was advertised. We were also visiting with my 10month old nephew. When we went to use the baby change we were told that it was out of order but that we could use the disabled toilet. The staff then asked us to wait though because they needed to mop the disabled toilet because the toilet was broken and leaking all over the floor. The floor was mopped up and we were told that we could use the room but not the toilet. Not only was this unhygienic for my nephew I am not sure what any disabled people would have done if they needed the bathroom because the other toilets were up a flight of stairs.

First visit to hard rock Newcastle and loved it . Been to Dominican Republic hard rock hotel , and hard rock cafes in Dublin , Edinburgh and Glasgow , newcastke was really good , only downside was a large group of drunk men being placed in booth behind and 2 tables next to us but it was a sat night 7 pm ish so to be expected , we still enjoyed our food and service and the overall atmosphere was really good . Luckily we found parking a 10 min walk away as no parking at the venue or surrounding unless your a permit holder which was fine for us but may dissuade others . Would def return 👍
