Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

The festive season at Hawksmoor is all about going big. Sharing steaks. Magnums. All the sides. We know some of you like to make a little space for healthier choices in the new year. So, we’re easing you into 2025 with a lunch option that’s good for the body, mind, and bank balance. For January only, enjoy a lean Rump steak and a virtuous side – English lettuce salad, Spinach, Sweet potatoes or (no judgement) indulge with our Beef dripping chips or Caesar salad – for £19.50.

Probably our most disappointing visit to date. Ordered the filet steak cooked medium & it arrived so well done on the outside & rarer than rare on the inside. It was very tough & chewy. They offered to replace it but we’d have had to wait 20 minutes so declined the offer, we didn’t eat it & it wasn’t taken off the bill either. The sides were fine but you do expect a decent steak when visiting Hawksmoor.

The restaurant was lovely we was greeted with a lovely warm reception. The waitress was great she explained and answered all our questions, the food was good value for money. Overall I enjoyed and will definitely come back.

The steak and side offer is a good way to introduce Hawksmoor into your life. A well seasoned and cooked steak with good chips. Cocktails were good but nothing special for the price, should have opted for a wine instead. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Slightly annoying that even though the restaurant was half empty bigger tables were seated right next to us raising the noise levels significantly, not ideal as a couple on date night. Still an enjoyable dinner.

Felt comfortable as soon as we walked in . Nice feeling , staff from the lady who was on reception , the gentleman who took us to our table and the waiter and especially the waitress was friendly and efficient . The waitress was informative about our meals which the meals were delicious and the drinks

A nice atmosphere in this restaurant and quite busy for a Sunday evening . We had the Winslade wellington for main course as it was so nice last time . This time I would rather have had more celeriac as it was lacking this time and had more cheese but still nice. The salmon starter was lovely and my partner’s baby ribs equally good .
