Hayden Block Smoke & Whiskey is a bbq joint in the heart of Kensington, Calgary, Alberta. Smoking our meat from 10-14 hours, people love our brisket but we have a selection of meats, trays and sides to choose from. Join us inside or out if the weather permits, or on our backyard whiskey garden open year round. Drinkwise we’ve got the largest whiskey list in town, and an ever-evolving cocktail list anchored by our smokey old-fashioned. We’ve also got a bunch of beer on tap, with some local favourites and international selects.

El brisket es delicioso. Lindo lugar y cómod para platicar. A cerveza también muy rica.

We loved our experience! Food was so good and same for the drinks. The waitresses were patient with us, offered to take a group picture etc. Was the second experience for most of us and will definitely be coming back!

Sat at the bar, had great service with good food. Tried several different bourbons and scotch’s, each were explained by the bartender. Fun place, will definitely go back.

Nine of us shared two mixed meat platters with sides of macaroni and cheese , beet salad, and delicious cornbread ! Plenty of food with leftovers to take home ! It was delicious!!

The service was great, friendly and helpful. The food was good, not great. The bark and overall flavour of the brisket was fantastic, however it was very dry. The house BBQ sauces were tasty, if you like a vinegar based sauce, you'll love these! The sides are large enough that you could share with another person if you both have smaller appetites. The smokestack corn is tasty, and so is the macaroni salad. Overall I'd give them another try, the other items on the menu sound tasty, and it's possible it was just an off night with the brisket being so dry.
